A Day in the Life / Friday, April 30

Quiet Time....

“But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53:5

Last night... Max is obsessed with ice cream...

Morning cuddles as usual...
and 90 minutes with our Abba Father, our Bibles, each other, and our fur kids...

Max ran to the bedroom and cuddled up in his Daddy's spot...I postponed making our bed for just a little while :-)

Morning through the kitchen window...

Good morning babies....

Three from my duck girls, and later in the day one chicken egg from Miss Bossy...

AND! I have a new baby...my mealworm pupa have started turning into beetles...
They like egg cartons to hide in...

Top drawer will be the beetles with a screen bottom so that the eggs will fall thru into the second drawer of worms... then I pick out the pupa as they develop and put them into the bottom drawer to turn into beetles and start all over...too fun!!
And my chickens LOVE mealworms!

Oh, someone asked me what I used to tie up my tomatoes and flowers, etc... I said panty hose and she said "huh"...so here is what I do...

I cut off the two legs as high as the stretchy panty part. Then cut across the hose to get a bunch of circles...
Put a bunch of the circles around your hand and then cut to make ties...

And Voila! you have a bunch of really perfect little ties...

I keep them in my little apron that I wear out in the yard and also a little mesh bag that hangs on my garden fence...they are also great for tying just about anything...

What's wrong with this picture...clearly my FedEx driver didn't know what the word FRAGILE meant...
thankfully, nothing was damaged :-)

I picked a bunch of lettuce for tonights salad...

Lanny found a box turtle crawling across his trail...I love turtles so he brought her in to visit...the dogs were very interested and Mom's dog Casey thought it was edible :-)

We put her back exactly where he found her...hope she visits often...

My Pinkeyes Peas are coming up...

We had Shrimp and Buttered Noodles and fresh garden lettuce salad...
I made a fruit mix with my homemade yogurt and it was great...

After dinner I visited with Paula and the horses...

Paula and I planted the roses today and they are going to look so pretty up the drive to our end of the barn...

Lanny and I went down to get the mail, in the MULE of course. It's quite a walk...very steep down and super steep coming up, so the MULE is the way to go!!

Paula and Shelly were out in their garden and Paula has a strawberry!!

The chickies and ducks are in bed...they will have fresh, clean water when they wake up in the morning.
The puppy landmines have been removed.

We are in our Jammies and tonight is Avengers: Infinity Wars...

Goodnight Y'all...
God bless and Sweet Dreams...

A Day in the Life / Thursday, April 29

Quiet Time....

"For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:"
Job 19:25

My Bible Study Buddies... Maggie and Murphy under the covers...

And Max in his favorite spot!

It's gonna be a nice, warm morning...
After I finished the bed making, feeding the fur kids and doing a few little chores inside,
I headed outside!

My three duck eggs... only occasionally do I get two, so the duck girls are doing their job!

There are a few wisteria buds on our tiny little stick bush (planted last summer)....
it's an American Wisteria called Blue Moon... native to this area.

Lanny is planting the five Knock Out Roses we picked up for the driveway. Eventually we will put up a carport which will house our vehicles (our part of the house it at the far end of the barn) and we can go in and out of our own
"front" door instead of walking thru the big barn.

It was so pretty out so I walked around a bit...
Paula's garden...

The grape vine has some leaf buds...

The pear tree might have a pear or two...that freeze was just at the wrong time...

The apple blossoms were fried, so I think we will not see any apples...

But... the cherry tree is covered...we will get a net and try to eat a few this year...
usually the birds get them all!

I visited Dandy and Takota and gave them some carrots...

Lanny still hard at work...

Paula saw a Martin the other day...hopefully they will move in...

A friend of Robbie's parked his car here a year ago (it was dead) and today they hauled it away... Yay!!

Mom, Paula and I went down the hill to eat lunch at Firehouse Subs and then to Walmart for some shopping...

Dad and Lanny were on their own and ran out to Burger King...

When we came home I picked some lettuce from the garden for tonights salad...

Since we had eaten a big lunch I fixed a light dinner...
Fish Sticks, Mozzarella Baked Tomato Slices and the Bacon Grease Salad...

After Dinner I put the chicks and ducks to bed...

I received some cultures today from Cultures for Health so I am activating the milk kefir and the water kefir...tomorrow I will activate the yogurt...

We are watching Black Panther tonight, next in the Marvel series...

Goodnight Y'all...
Sweet Dreams and God bless...
