Monday on the Mountain... January 31

Quiet Time...

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”

‭‭James‬ ‭1:5‬

*****
Getting ready for Mom's late night infusion...
Dad was up but I told him I was a figment of his imagination:-)
Not time for food!!!

Finished the 30 minute infusion and I went back to bed at 1...
Zzzzzzzzz and hitting the floor at 3:45...

Dad had gone back to bed so I just got his stuff together and ready and hit the couch for Quiet Time...

At 6 I changed our sheets and fed the fur kids....
I made up 4 packages for Mom's infusions... that way I just grab a bag and the pressurized antibiotic and get 'er done! I do enough for the day and that makes it real easy (especially in the middle of the night)...

Went out to release the critters :-)

Duck egg in duck box...

Luke enjoying the sunshine...

I fed Dad and Lanny some Cinnamon Toast for their second breakfast...

*****

Puppies leading a "dog's life"...

Lanny had to go to the church to take care of some things from last night's concert and on his way home he stopped and got us some Hamburgers from Wendy's!!!
YUM!

Lanny and I rested until my alarm rang for Mom's infusion...
one more checked off the books... 11 more to go!

I worked on the pantry this afternoon... after a few weeks of crazy wild activity things get a little bit out of whack... back to organized... I also have a larger pantry out in the barn for the big stuff...

Lanny, Paula, Rob and Molly are having a Johnson Gap Collective Meeting...

None of us are very hungry so I am going to try to figure out something light to make for dinner...it is really hard to cook when you are full :-)

So... I made some Chicken and Gravy over Buttered Noodles...

The puppy piles are picked up, the kitchen is clean, the chicks and ducks are in bed...
We are going to watch Journey to the Center of the Earth...
I'll infuse Mom :-) from 6:30 to 7 and we will try to get in bed around 8....

Her MRI is scheduled for Friday...
they will determine at that time if the cancer has traveled to the brain...
Keep the prayers going, please!!

Goodnight Y'all...
God bless and Sweetest Dreams!!

The Lords Day on the Mountain... January 30

Quiet Time...

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,

for they shall be satisfied.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:6‬

*****

Got up for Mom's 12:30 infusion...
Dad was up but I told him it wasn't morning yet...
and he must pretend that he doesn't see me :-)

Nabbed these off Sky's facebook...
Sylvia (our Great Grand) got her glasses...
she can SEE!!

After Mom's infusion I got back to bed around 1...
then it is Up and At 'Em at 3:45...
Dad was still up so I got his meds, his thermos and cup, put on his socks and made him a Breakfast Burrito... He was all set, so I hit the couch with my little pack
for Bible Study..l.

When we got up Max snuggled in his Daddy's warm spot...

I made our bed and fed the fur kids...
and started Mom's 6:30 infusion... it takes 30 minutes to infuse the antibiotic, so...
...I decanted the Milk Kefir for Mom's and My Pro-Biotic...
Mom likes Maple Syrup in hers... I like mine straight...

Then I went thru the barn to get a picture of the sunrise directly east.
The trees look pretty in the Common Area. I plan to decorate them seasonally...
just leave them up and lit... they are so pretty...

Max in his "Cat Tree"...

And the puppies in their happy place...

Let the chickies and ducks out...

Duck egg IN the duck house... maybe that week out in the yard was just a fluke! :-)

Fixed Dad his Second Breakfast at 8... Lanny had already gone to church to set up for the couple leading the music today...
Dad's favorite: Fried Eggs, Sausage and Toast...

Of course Dad has the usual audience...

I am drooping after three nights getting up at 12:30 so I sat down with my little puppy pack to rest a bit before lunch...

Went out to break up the ice on the water pans (for the second time... I do have heaters but the ducks have started avoiding them... I think it might look like a snake to them...)... I found one of Coconuts eggs in the nest box... so pretty...

Lanny thought he would have to stay at church today so we went ahead and ate at noon (he showed up in time to get a couple hot dogs :-) )

Fancy!!! Hot Dogs, Chips and Chili....
and Panettone Bread for Dessert...

Molly was at her Mom's and Nathaniel and Kate were also otherwise engaged... just Us'n's...

Then we had time to rest a bit around Mom's 12:30 infusion and feeding the pups at 2:30. I dozed off and on and had a pretty nice rest :-)

Lanny headed back to church at 4. I will pick up the puppy piles and already put the chicks and ducks to bed, just because I was out there :-)

I'll feed Dad some Chicken Noodle Soup (his request) and Mom may eat a bit of that or a bowl of cereal.
Then I will watch some Star Trek episodes and wait for Lanny to get home...

Goodnight my Sweet Family and Friends...
Mom is feeling pretty good and we do appreciate your prayers...

God bless you one and all!
Sweet Dreams!

Saturday in the Hills... January 29

Quiet Times...

“By this we know love, that He laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:16‬

*****
Watching "The Dawn Treader" (at least the first half) last night with the Lewis Pack...

Even Max!

Went to bed at 8 and then got up for Mom's 12:30 infusion...

It was snowing! Gorgeous!!

Got up for the day at 3:45 and Dad was still in the bed...
I got his meds and other goodies ready and settled in to get started on
"Quiet Time" :-)

Dad got up around 5 and I took care of him...
gave him his coffee and a Sausage, Egg and Cheese Biscuit.
I am going to start making my own and freeze them.
These Jimmy Dean things are expensive!!!

Maggie LOVES sitting in front of the fire...

Made our bed at 6 and fed the fur kids...
decanted the Sparkley and the Milk Kefir...

Max was supervising as I emptied the dishwasher...
I think he can still smell the salmon from last night... YUM!

Murphy LOVES the fire too!!

Got Mom all situated for her 6:30 infusion. She stayed in the bed this morning and relaxed for the 30 minute procedure... so far no ill side effects and she feels better as the time goes on.

*****
Headed out at daybreak to brave the cold and release the fowl!
They didn't seem to mind the weather...

Duck egg IN the duck house...
Clever girl!

Snacking on their new high protein scratch grain!

COLD sky!!

The ducks enjoy the chicken coop...

Fed my crew Waffles and Sausage for 8 o'clock Second Breakfast...

I cooked up some chicken thighs for meat and broth and piddled around in the house... sorted a few things here and there...

And then for lunch I warmed up the Salmon Patties and made sandwiches using Hamburger Buns... Quite YUMMY!!!

Lanny and I rested a bit until Mom's next infusion at 12:30...
Maggie really gets involved in afternoon Siesta! :-)

I packaged up chicken meat and 4 x 16 ounce broth containers... just the right size for a gravy or recipe addition...  I only cooked up a dozen thighs...

We had Chicken Thighs, Baked Potatoes, Green Beans and Carrots
and Apple Sauce for Dessert...

I'm showered and in my Jammies and Lanny is showering and getting into his...
the yard is picked up, the chicks and ducks are in bed
and we are ready to watch the second half of Dawn Treader...

I'll infuse Mom at 6:30 and we will be in bed by 8 for another go-round...

Goodnight Y'all...
God bless ...
and
Sweet Dreams...
