Quiet Time...
"O LORD, Thou art my God; I will exalt Thee, I will praise Thy name;
for Thou hast done wonderful things;
Thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth."
Isaiah 25:1 KJV
*****
We were actually up and down all night with Mitzi... about 8 last night she cried out (we still cannot figure out what happened) and didn't have control of her back legs. She was dragging them around at first... she started crying a bit later in the night and was very disoriented and breathing so hard and panting... no balance...
I thought/think she may have had a stroke
because she didn't really respond to anything after that...
We got a walk in appointment at Clinton Animal Hospital
first thing this morning
and they helped her gently cross the Rainbow Bridge...
We have had her for fourteen years...
she was a rescue so we aren't sure exactly how old she was,
but we KNOW we gave her a good life...
I took my customary pic when I turned on all the lights
and "officially" got up...
We had a brief time to read and I took care of my greens...
Turned on my
Sunny Radio...
Went out to the Barnyard Critters...
And as soon as we could
we headed to the Vet...
It is never easy to say goodbye to a pet...
harder, I think, when they have been
a part of your life for SO long...
but I never want to see one suffer...
they could possibly have given her something to
ease pain but she still would not have her legs
and I don't think at her age
that would have been a quality ending
to her sweet life...
Put some Skittles
in the Freeze Dryer for an order...
still two and a half weeks to go
but the doctors are working hard to get the meds and food right...
Paula is still having issues with her legs...
Thank you for your prayers...
We will watch the next Indiana Jones...
"Temple of Doom"...
Goodnight All...
God Bless and
Mitzi says "Sweet Dreams"!
