Hello Friday!!!
Warm enough for a "storm"...
lightening and thunder!!!

Greens are growing up a "storm" :-)
And Lettuce is peeking out from under the covers :-)
...even the spinach,
but you gotta look REAL close :-)

So, I am trying sourdough again...
I fed my starter that Wendy gave me,
made a Pre-Ferment yesterday
and let it sit over night...
Then this morning I put the rest of the
ingredients together into the Bosch...
12 cups of flour and it was trying to escape...
but that must be OK,
because I continued to scrape it down,
let it knead for a LONG time,
and it became this smooth,
soft, very stretchy dough...
It is very sticky but the lady I am following
says that is OK!
Then I discovered that it could
never rise in this bowl
(and it is a BIG bowl)...
So I separated it into two
for the rise...
I am excited and hopeful...
We shall see...
Chopping and splitting
and stacking and hauling...
he started early...... 💕
Cloudy, misty Compound...
Out to the Barnyard
while the rain has stopped!!
Sloshy, mushy mud!!!!!
Of course, these two will probably
be in here most of the day...
Fiona especially does NOT like rain :-)
I don't think she likes the muddy ground either...

Well, they are wonderful!!!!
The crust softened up nicely
with the melted butter...
Lanny put up some fencing we bought
so the pups could come out into the
Common Area with us...
We will put the panel there when
we are planning to take them out,
otherwise it leaves the walkway
for everyone coming and going...
He is still chopping and cutting...
...and stacking...
this is right out the door
so he can grab some
quickly if we run out inside
at an inopportune time :-)
I opened up some of my home canned Pinto Beansand Ranch Beans and made some
soaked/fermented rice...
also Spinach...
Lanny wanted pintos on my fresh
Sourdough so that was an option :-)
I went for that myself...

It has been raining nearly all day
so Fiona and Baby have "mostly"
been in their house...
But I gave them some treats
and some grain and their favorite
Timothy Hay and they are in for the night...
We will watch another Denzel movie tonight"
