Psalms 107:1, 15 NKJV

Good Morning Monday...

Bible Study Time with the Pack...
The door is open...
it rained for a few minutes
and I love the sound of rain
on the tin roof!
Sparkly Day...
Our Preacher friend Danny
came up over the weekend to hunt
turkey on our Mountain...
he got a huge Gobbler
and gave us the breast...
he just likes to hunt,
not always eat it :-)
It was close to a six pound breast!!!
I cut up four
1.5 lb packs...
I will freeze three and
do something yummy with one
of them tonight...
I cut "nuggets" because
I like to stir fry...
Out to the Barnyard...
Misting rain...
Waiting at the gate...
They started hollering about
5:30 with "fake" egg songs...
Not a single egg out here :-)
I'll be cooking them up
like that turkey
if they aren't careful :-)
Just kidding....
Fiona wants her breakfast
inside this morning...
it is misty out there...
Baby does not care...
We don't let Maggie
go out there if it's too wet...
she is highly offended...
Horseradish....
Feeding time...
I am experimenting with a new process...
it is an Artisan Bread...
I did it before with white
bread flour but want to
make it healthier...
same recipe for my usual
fresh milled flour doughs
but you don't knead it...
just mix, let rest a bit and
then put it in the fridge for at least
24 hours...
Then you take it out as you need it...
So this morning I took
out a bit and put
together a very small skillet
of Focaccia...
... and also a bigger skillet
of huge Cinnamon Rolls :-)
Then I mixed up another batch
of "Everything Dough"
for next time...
it can stay in the fridge for
a week or even a few days more...
but I am sure I will use it way
before that!
Ready for the fridge...
I cleaned the fish bowl...
Max is checking it out...
He prefers the water to
be aged a bit more,
but he is ok with it
either way :-)
I am not sure what they
talk about, but
Baby is often chatting
with the chickens...
Focaccia out of the oven...
Smells SO good...
it will be served
with tonight's Dinner...
Fresh garlic and green onions on top...
Fiona came out when
it quit misting...
I think she is trying to
nibble out of the herb garden
thru the fence...
Vision is ready for brunch...
The Cinnamon Rolls are delicious...
100% fresh milled whole wheat...
YUM!
I will freeze these so we
can have warm rolls
after just a few minutes thaw
and warm up...
He's drunk on fish water :-)
I sat down to rest a bit
and of course I had my bookends...
I sautéed the Turkey Nuggets
in olive oil... they turned
out so good!
Made gravy with the drippings,
mashed potatoes, onions and peppers
that I put up last summer from our garden
and the focaccia bread made earlier...
a feast!!! Paula joined us...
My clean up crew...
they love these kind of meals!
lots of goodies on the plates...
don't worry,
these get washed really well
after they finish :-)
Heading out for our
Evening Chores...
to most people
this would probably be
"Afternoon Chores",
but since we are in our
Jammies by 4:30
and watching our movie
by 5, this is the
start of our evening :-)
We are in bed before 8!!
Tomatoes...
*****
Tonight we are watching
"Miss Congeniality"
made in 2000 with
Sandra Bullock,
Michael Caine, Benjamin Bratt,
Candice Bergen, William Shatner,
Heather Burns and Ernie Hudson...
it's a fun one!
Good Night Everyone...
