Saturday on the Mountain... June 6

  Quiet Time in Bible Study...

👒ðŸŠī

“Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy.”

Matthew 5:7 NKJV

“Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.”

Psalms 124:8 NKJV

“Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul

and health to the bones.”

Proverbs 16:24 NKJV

““For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses,

neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

Matthew 6:14-15 NKJV

“But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions,

do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”

II Timothy 4:5 NKJV

“But thank God! He has made us his captives and continues to lead us along in Christ’s triumphal procession. Now he uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume. Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing. To those who are perishing, we are a dreadful smell of death and doom. But to those who are being saved, we are a life-giving perfume.

And who is adequate for such a task as this?”

2 Corinthians 2:14-16 NLT

*****

Since I've been taking this medicine

for my heart I am cold all the time :-)

therefore, the air conditioner is set

pretty high...

They have to go to the floor

off and on to cool off :-)

But they come back
for snack time and to
cuddle a bit :-)

Good Morning Saturday...
it's the Weekend...
which means nearly nothing
to us old retired folk :-)

Maggie coming in from the
Bedroom, heading outside
for her morning rounds...

Waiting for Bible Study Time...

Already making messes...
the Organ Meat was finished
freeze drying and it has
to be packaged quickly
so that the humidity in the air
doesn't affect it...

I am loving this little
vacuum sealing device for mason jars...

I was right in the middle of
working on the meat,
so Lanny went out and
took care of the initial
Barnyard Duty...

Anna was up on the platform...
they have very rarely
walked up that ramp
so I am not sure what
she was hoping to find :-)

Lanny let the goats out...

...and gave them a little grain...

I ended up with about five quarts
and a little more...
not a bad haul!
We use this as a Kibble topper
for the pups and Max...
Organ meat is very good for them.

Sparkly Day...

And Berries for the Critters...

Lanny washes his own
everyday clothes...
I used to wash everything
and he isn't forced to do it...
he just likes to...

IYKYK...
If you have watched
"Kate and Leopold"
you know :-)

My favorite view...

We needed to move the Martin House
up closer to the barn so we could
see it and maintain it...
it was full of wasp nests...
no wonder the birds
were a bit skittish!!

Lounging...
their main job :-)

I made a Venison Roast,
Baked Yellow Tater
and Green Beans...
YUM!

Out to the Barnyard...

Sunning...

The Mountain Swallows were buzzing
around above me and then
I noticed a big black snake trying
to get into the nest...
before I could grab him
he had his head in the hole...
I had to wrap him up
in the pitch fork and pull him out...
I didn't hurt him but
I hope I upset him
enough to stay away from
my baby birds...
One of the babies had flown out
and fallen into the pond,
probably in fear, because they
are way too small to fledge...
anyway, I got him out and dusted
him off and put him back in the nest...
Mom and Dad are feeding like crazy
so I guess they didn't mind...
I hope they saw my brave act
and like me now :-)

I coaxed him way back
far from the nest...
We haven't been getting a lot
of eggs so I am thinking we have
several of these visitors...
I think they are keeping the
rodents at bay, so I am OK
with them taking a chicken egg or two...
but I do NOT want them
bothering my baby wild birds!!

The other three were
pasted on the bottom being quiet
and still...
I think they are all OK...

Well, he snuck right back
and got one of the babies before
I could grab him again...
had it in his mouth so
there was nothing I could do...
I took him farther back over the fence...
I went back to look in a few minutes
and he was heading off...
he won't need to eat for a day or two...
Breaks my heart...

Heading in to clean up...
Ready for tonights
entertainment...

****

We will be watching

"War of the Worlds"...

made in 2005 with

Tom Cruise, Dakota Fanning,

Miranda Otto, Justin Chatwin

and Tim Robbins,

with narration by Morgan Freeman...

it's pretty good :-)

Good Night Everyone!

May God Bless You With Sweet Dreams! Good Night Pictures, Photos, and ...
