Our little Bible Buddy is feeling good as new...last dose of his antibiotics last night...two week long nightmare...it is awful trying to give liquid medicine to a cat!

Dad slept in a little this morning so I was a little out of whack with my chores...but it always works out...

It was colder than it's been over the last few days but not wet and not windy...

...and we put some mulch around the coop so it wasn't muddy!

I got three eggs..

The Camellia is ready to really take off...lots of buds and many are opening...

Rob and Austin were back bright and early to work on Rob and Molly's house remodel...it's coming along nicely!

It was a little TOO early for Austin, apparently :-)

Lanny and I ran down the hill to get some playground wood chips for the dog run area...and we snuck in to Freddy's for a burger...yum!

Got a BIG load of chips...

...and headed home to get busy...

We spread the chips in the muddy areas and had some river pebbles for the walkways...heavy work for my honey...

The dogs seem to like it...

Mom and I went down to pick up Sadie at 1:30 and I ran in to Food City on the way home to grab some wieners and buns...tonight is going to be Hot Dogs...we have just been having too much fun today to cook!!

I think it's going to help with the muddy paw prints in the house...the trail around the fence is now river rock and the mudhole in the shady area is now wood chips...

Sadie and I played with the horses and chatted with Paula and Shelly until Shelby came to pick her up...

So now we are winding down, clean and in our jammies, ready for Point Break...Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze...

Popcorn is in our future...

A Day in the Life / Tuesday, no Family Night, yet...March 2

Quiet Time....

This was last night...Max LOVES ice cream...I am not sure how that will affect the crystals in his urinary tract???

Quiet, warm morning...with the usual Bible Study Buddies...

Morning inside chores done...

Not quite as warm as yesterday, but at least it isn't raining...

The chickens were ready to be OUT!

Robbie was up here bright and early ready to knock out walls and put in sliding doors...

This was their bedroom first thing this morning..

Then the tin wall came down...

I'm baking bread...

...and watching my jeweled buddy...

...Taking down the heavy wall boards...

Lanny and I headed to Oak Ridge Hardwood for a load of mulch...

It was a BIG scoop!

Rob and Austin had the wall totally open when we got back...

...and Lanny started shoveling mulch...

...while Coppertina supervised...

We put the extra mulch out near the front garden that we will start working on next week...

Fed all the fur kids... no nap...too wound up!

Nearly ready to put the slider in...

My feathered friends saw me in the kitchen...

The door is hung... whew...it was just a little more involved than either of them thought... but all's well that ends well...Molly is thrilled!

We had soup made with last nights left overs for dinner...Cabbage, Potatoes, Short Ribs, some added Tomatoes, Corn and Broccoli... Not too bad!

And the homemade bread...

We are worn out...expecially Lanny...he shoveled a LOT of mulch today...I did some too, but not too much :-)

We are ready for our movie...tonight is GI Joe Retaliation....

Pups are ready too...

A Day in the Life / Monday, March 1

Quiet Time...

We had our usual Bible Buddies this morning...

...and they don't usually want to get up...

I took care of Dad and the fur kids and headed outside (in my raincoat) to let the chicks and ducks out...

Maggie and Max moved to the bedroom to the futon...it's a dogs (and cats) life :-)

Lanny and I went down the hill to make a bank deposit, pick up a few items at Walmart and to look for some unique gourd seeds,,,

I made a light lunch for Mom and Dad (Lanny and I had a bite at the Sonic while we were out).

We managed a short snooze (well, Lanny snoozed...I am too wound up thinking about gardening...)

Maggie was in my lap, Mitzi beside me, Murph in his hollow and Max in his Daddy's lap...

Rob and Austin are working hard on the remodel...they've opened up the living room and kitchen and it's going to be gorgeous!

We did several little projects around the house...Lanny emptied the mushroom compost out of the back of his truck so that we can get some mulch and rock, maybe tomorrow...

I made Short Ribs, Gravy, Stewed Potatoes, and Fried Cabbage and Crescent Rolls for Supper...

Lanny took care of the Puppy Landmines, I put the chicks and ducks to bed...

We are clean and in our jammies and getting ready to watch G.I.Joe...

We will probably go to the "Snack Bar" for some popcorn and maybe some ice cream..
