Friday on the Farm... July 29

Quiet Time...

“The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭145:18‬ ‭ESV‬‬
*****
Dad slept in...

He got up about 4:45...
I made him a Breakfast Burrito to go with his usual coffee and meds :-)

Max joined us for a few minutes...

Took care of the bed, and the fed the fur kids...
then went out to play with the other farm kids...

We got an inch of rain last night...

Penny and Gabby...

Bread Day...

In the oven to proof...

Lanny is working on a rocket stove made out of cans!

It really does work...

WooHoo... that was some RISE!!!

Decanted the Sparkley...
and took the berries out to the birds...

Canned some Chicken Thighs...

My canner is so tall that the HUGE undercabinet microwave was in the way.
I use the microwave so seldom that I didn't need one that big.
Lanny is building a shelf and we will put a regular countertop unit here...

Tomato Sandwiches for Lunch...

Goldie, Coconut and Sugar...

Still working...

Hummer wars... this time of year they do very little actual sipping
and mostly sparring!

Look how much more room!!!
Exactly what I need and my canner will fit under with room to spare!

Paula made Kielbasa, Cabbage and Potatoes for Dinner and brought it over to us.
She knew Lanny had my kitchen torn up :-)
I made a Salad and some Biscuits and VOILA!!
YUM!!
Thank you Paula!!!

Evening chores are done.
Lanny even mowed the back yard...
he is NOT going to let it sneak up on us again after that rain!!!

Getting ready to dress for the evening and watch the next Marvel...
Dr. Strange...

Goodnight, Sleep Tight...
you know the rest!

God bless you ALL
and
God bless AMERICA!!!

Thursday on the Hill... July 28

Quiet Time...

“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit,
but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:3‬ ‭ESV‬‬

*****
Daddy was up...

He drank some coffee and ate his Sausage Biscuits and then decided to shave at 4:30...
Thankfully Mom didn't hear him!

Lanny came in around 4:45 to join us...

Made the bed, fed the babies and headed out...

Penny and Gabby are on a good roll!

The fish wait for me as well as the chickens...

The plants are looking pretty good considering this heat!!

Headed out the east end to feed the horses some carrots...

Dandy...

Takoda...

And then the Sibling Rivalry!

Out the kitchen window...

Paula and I peeled about 20 pounds of Idaho Gold Potatoes for canning...

12 Quarts...
Beautiful!!!

Lanny ate some left over soup with a few of these potatoes that wouldn't fit into a jar thrown in...
Dad ate some Tuna and Crackers...
then we sat down for a bit...

Sugar...

Goldie...

I am canning some chicken legs right now..
picture later...

Lanny put together some shelving in an empty corner of our closet...
I LOVE it!!!

Lots of canning and the stove in use, so....
It was a great excuse for Lanny to go pick up a pizza!!!

I LOVE Dominos Pizza...
the Extravaganza...
I always eat more than I should :-)

Chicken came out of the canner...
I did raw pack, legs on the bone, no added liquid,
so the liquid in the jars is ALL chicken juices...
YUM!
I am going to try a few different ways
to see what the difference is in the texture and taste...
Results to follow...

It's pouring the rain so I am not sure if I will be able to get the feed put away or not...
Nor if we will get the puppy landmines picked up...

Oh well...

Tonight is Black Panther...

Goodnight Sweet Family and Friends!!!
Love and God's sweetest blessing on you ALL!!
Sleep Tight!!
