Thursday on the Hill... July 28

Quiet Time...

“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit,
but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:3‬ ‭ESV‬‬

*****
Daddy was up...

He drank some coffee and ate his Sausage Biscuits and then decided to shave at 4:30...
Thankfully Mom didn't hear him!

Lanny came in around 4:45 to join us...

Made the bed, fed the babies and headed out...

Penny and Gabby are on a good roll!

The fish wait for me as well as the chickens...

The plants are looking pretty good considering this heat!!

Headed out the east end to feed the horses some carrots...

Dandy...

Takoda...

And then the Sibling Rivalry!

Out the kitchen window...

Paula and I peeled about 20 pounds of Idaho Gold Potatoes for canning...

12 Quarts...
Beautiful!!!

Lanny ate some left over soup with a few of these potatoes that wouldn't fit into a jar thrown in...
Dad ate some Tuna and Crackers...
then we sat down for a bit...

Sugar...

Goldie...

I am canning some chicken legs right now..
picture later...

Lanny put together some shelving in an empty corner of our closet...
I LOVE it!!!

Lots of canning and the stove in use, so....
It was a great excuse for Lanny to go pick up a pizza!!!

I LOVE Dominos Pizza...
the Extravaganza...
I always eat more than I should :-)

Chicken came out of the canner...
I did raw pack, legs on the bone, no added liquid,
so the liquid in the jars is ALL chicken juices...
YUM!
I am going to try a few different ways
to see what the difference is in the texture and taste...
Results to follow...

It's pouring the rain so I am not sure if I will be able to get the feed put away or not...
Nor if we will get the puppy landmines picked up...

Oh well...
*****
Tonight is Black Panther...

Goodnight Sweet Family and Friends!!!
Love and God's sweetest blessing on you ALL!!
Sleep Tight!!
