A Day in the Life /Saturday, November 14

Quiet Time...

“So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time He will lift you up in honor.” - 1 Peter‬ ‭5:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Morning sun on the mountain...the trees are still colorful...

Ran down the hill to pick up the things I need for Family Night...gonna make lasagna. Mom and Dad have doctors appointments Monday so I might not be able to go to the store. Figured we'd do it today and get it done!

Lanny did sound for a wedding at the church so he was gone most of the late morning/early afternoon.

One of our original Silver Dorking hens, Prissy, died today. I found her just laying in the grass...no sign of trauma, no wounds...hopefully it was just her time. The two Dorking hens are at least 5 years old. Not super old for a hen but at the very edge of their average lifespan. Her "sister" Dorking, Bossy, is now by herself with three Black Copper Marans...I hope she doesn't mourn too much. She and Prissy were always together. They were raised from chicks together.

Sat down for a breather this afternoon and two of my fur magnets were immediately connected...I am not sure where Mitzi was but she must not have heard me sit down or she would have been there too!

I tried making a biscuit pizza tonight. I used to make it all the time when the boys were little (biscuit dough and the usual pizza toppings) but it just didn't taste the same to me. I am a little under the weather so hopefully that's why...the rest of the dinner guests (Mom, Dad, Lanny and Paula) said it was fine. I will keep trying. I know they were really good back in the day...

Not sure what is on the big screen tonight...I'll let you know tomorrow. All I know is I am ready to sit down with my Sweetie and the fur kids...I am beat!!

Goodnight Y'all...
