Study Buddies....

'til 6 am...

It was raining so I didn't take my phone/camera out with me to take care of the chores... you will just have to take my word for it :-)

Headed to Kroger's early to pick up some items for tonights Family Night...

a tree branch had fallen right by our driveway and I guess the City came to get it out of the road.

We knew nothing about it...

Rainy day...

Made Mom, Dad and Lanny a grilled baloney and cheese sandwich for lunch.

Then we rested for a few minutes...

Out the kitchen window...

I've been cooking and prepping all day and I sat down for a few minutes...

the kids want to join me any time I sit down.

It's not a common occurrence for me :-)

So, I am getting ready for Family Night and I'll post those pictures later tonight...

We had Baked Spaghetti, Salad, Rolls and FUN!!!

Study Buddies

Quiet Time 'til 6 AM...

Took care of the beds, meds and the fur kids...

Headed outside around 6:45...

The new girls are settled in pretty well...

they don't run from me and actually come running with the rest when I am distributing treats!

Several gourds in the tree...the vine is over 25 feet long and sprawling all over the tree...

Only one duck egg in the house this morning...

it's been so hot...

But later in the day I found one behind an herb pot...

you can tell the duck egg by the size.

I also had two chicken eggs later in the morning..

Burned some trash...

Our koi is really growing...too fast!!

Chickpeas (Garbanzo) ready to make Hummus...

See the sprouts?

Cookin' 'em up... it'll take an hour or so.

Making Banana Bread...

Processed the cooked chickpeas in the Food Processor with the other yummy ingredients and voila!

Hummus!

Well, no exactly Voila! Look at this kitchen mess!

I ground the sprouted, dehydrated Ezekiel Bread grains...

manually!

What a workout!

Then put the grain and wet ingredients into the Bosch for 10 minutes...

Made a BlackBerry Cobbler while the Ezekiel Bread was rising.

Papaw and Sadie picked these berries...

The duck and two chicken eggs I gathered later in the morning...

Made Chicken Breast Patties, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Green Beans and Carrots for Supper...

Lanny cleaned up the yard while I finished the dishes...

I put the chicks and ducks to bed and freshened all the water pots.

We are in our Jammies ready to watch Indiana Jones 2.

We will have some Chips and Hummus for a snack and then BlackBerry Cobbler and Ice Cream after that!!
