Daddy was up...
Took care of him and then settled in with my fur babes...
both under the covers...
Lanny joined us shortly thereafter :-)
Uneventful Quiet Time EXCEPT...
listen carefully and you will hear the coyote serenade...
a pretty big choir of coyote!
Maggie and Mitzi chased them off twice.
Actually, the coyote song is eerily beautiful!!
Headed out to the birds after making the bed and feeding the fur kids...
Gabby and Penny's work for the day...
And I guess Coconut couldn't wait to make it to the nest box...
right in the doorway!
The Bell Peppers and Mushrooms from yesterday.
I will watch for moisture and if they are good and dry I will package them properly...
Cutting up a big bottom round roast for Beef Stroganoff...
to can!
Mushrooms and onions...
Some spices...
beef broth...
And into the canner for 90 minutes...
Made Dad and Lanny a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Omelet and Toast
for 8 o'clock Second Breakfast!
Little visitors!
Prepared some celery for the dehydrator...
Popcorn and Sugar...
6 Quarts of Beef Stroganoff for the shelf...
fix pasta or rice or mashed potatoes and its a quick meal!!
We had Turkey Sandwiches for lunch...
Then Lanny and I took a quick Siesta...
My friend Wendy picked up a Bushel of Green Beans from another friend
and came up for a bean stringing/breaking party!
Even Mom helped :-)
I'll can them in the morning... I am SO excited!!
Lanny was out mowing when the downpour hit
so he was huddled under a tree for a while...
I had to run out and put the umbrellas down so the wind wouldn't blow them away
so I got soaked to the bone... so did Lanny :-)
Our lights have flickered a few times but so far we still have power...
For supper we had Fish Sticks, French Fries, Cole Slaw, Corn on the Cob and Applesauce for Dessert...
If the lights stay on we will watch the next Marvel...
