Friday on the Farm ... October 21

Quiet Time...

“Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬ ‭ESV‬‬

*****
Daddy was up and waiting...
Two Sausage Biscuits for his first breakfast :-)

Decanted the Sparkley
and had berries for the birds...

I have a dentist appointment at 8
so I will let the birds out early so I can get to Oak Ridge on time...

Still pretty dark...
motion lights came on...

Heading down the hill around 7:30...

The Shetlands are already out...
these belong to Little Ponderosa Zoo...

I ran in to Food City after the Dentist to pick up a few things...
Then I stopped at Anderson Animal Clinic
to pick up Casey's medicine for his allergies...

On the way home the Bulls were out...
they belong to Ponderosa Zoo as well...

And more Shetlands are out in the front pasture...

For lunch we had Corned Beef on Rye...
I saw the bread and meat at Food City and couldn't pass it up :-)

Then I cut Mom's nails.
I should have taken a before picture.
They were like claws!!!

She will say this is short but I think they are just right :-)

And I painted them pink :-)

Went out to check for eggs...
Sugar is on a roll...

Gabby is ready to entertain me...
I sat down in the lawn chair because I could tell she wanted company...

Then Penny joined us...

Waiting for the magic words...
"Dinner" :-)
I feed the dogs at 6 AM and at 2...

Lanny is putting in a window in his shop...
In the winter it will be nice to see out
and get a little sunshine without opening the big doors...

I shredded some cheese...
I am not sure that I save much money doing it
but the blocks are easier to store until I need to have shredded...

Lanny is going to cut up the left over ham that we had for last nights dinner...
We will use some for dinner tonight and I will have some
for frying up with eggs and also sandwiches...

Ham and Great Northern Bean Soup...
warming up on the stove.
I'll throw in that bone when Lanny is finished cutting
just for some added flavor.
But I put a jar of my chicken bone broth in here so
this soup will be RICH!!!

Can you see Max in the floor under Lanny's feet?
He loves to be where his Daddy is :-)

So, for supper we had the Ham and White Bean Soup
and Fried Cornbread Patties...
Cake for Dessert!

Oh, and Mom came in and ate with us at the table...
I told her she just wanted to show off her manicure :-)

Lanny picked up the Pup Piles,
I put the chicken feed away...
Kitchen is clean,
Mom and Dad are tucked in their beds.

Mom watches her game shows and Dad sleeps so he can stay up all night...
It's getting hard to keep him on the meal schedule but I will NOT deviate!
I cannot be fixing him meals at random times of the day, whenever he wakes up.
I told him that even in a nursing home or hospital they have a schedule :-)

Pray for us. He gets a little annoyed with me when I wake him for a meal but when I've let him sleep it throws all the meals for the rest of the day off.
He has been getting up about the time Lanny and I are ready for bed and I've tried to explain to him that if I don't get my allotted sleep time that I wont be able to care for him and Momma the way they need...
It's more challenging every day...

Well, last night we watched Die Hard 4...
yea, Lanny likes the last two Die Hard movies random.
Then at Christmas time we will watch the first three.
Die Hard is a Christmas movie, don't you know :-)

Goodnight Family and Friends...
We love you ALL...
God bless America...
God bless YOU...
and
Sleep Tight!!!

“He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
Psalm 46:10
