Quiet Time...
“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good,
for His steadfast love endures forever!”
Psalm 107:1 ESV
*****
Daddy was up...
Breakfast Burrito today for his first breakfast...
Bible Study with the Pack...
Casey was a little anxious for 6 am...
but he is ALWAYS hungry!!!
Max was pretty comfortable...
Out to the flock!
Moon going down...
Starting to show their color...
Opal was a sleepy head...
last one down...
Fried Daddy an egg for second breakfast...
Lanny skipped breakfast today.
He had just eaten some yogurt...
Mom ate toast and Jelly...
The fish do not hibernate in winter but they slow WAY down...
I don't feed them when the temp is below around 50...
they are very docile...
I made Roast Beef Sandwiches for lunch
and then Lanny and I snoozed for a bit...
Maggie under the red...
Murphy under the animal print...
After lunch Lanny started working on the grow lights...
I put chicken wire over the bare spots in the herb garden...
can you guess why?
Hint: we have a cat....
That boy thinks any beautiful, soft soil is HIS litter box!
Lanny hung some of my iron skillets...
the ones I use most often...
He had to run down to Ace Hardware for some chain
and hooks to hang the grow lights...
I am SO excited!!
Day three for the left overs... we had the Roast, Gravy and Mashed Potatoes with Cabbage on Saturday, I used the Roast and Gravy yesterday and added some left over rice and mixed veggies for the Sunday Dinner, then today I added diced tomatoes and chicken broth to the left over casserole and made SOUP!!!
Daddy ate four bowls... he thought it was delicious!!
...so did we! And Mom did a pretty good job on her bowl!
One light up, three to go!!!
Then it's planting time!!
Did I say I am excited!!!
Robbie is hard at work too...
putting up plastic on their "green house"...
they don't have walls... they use plastic so it really is like a greenhouse in there :-)
they have a wood stove and you'd never believe it
but they were perfectly cozy last winter!
Kitchen is clean...
Pup piles are gone...
Chicken feed is safely stored...
I got a new gown and house shoes today
and I am ready to try them out!!!
Tonight we will watch "Olympus has Fallen"
with Morgan Freeman and Gerard Butler...
we like that kind of movie...action and suspense...
even tho we've seen it at least 20 times over the years
it is still fresh enough for two old fogies!!! :-)
So, Goodnight!
We love you all!!!
God bless and Sleep Tight!!!
"When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid:
yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet."
Proverbs 3:24 KJV
