Last evening I caught one of our ladies
digging a hole for eggs :-)

Well, I threw out some lettuce
and I guess she was right in the middle of her lay...
she laid it coming out the door :-)
She worked hard... this is hard dirt full of small rocks...
the hole is pretty deep...
no eggs yet, but I think the nest is ready...

Made some Southwestern Chicken Soup...
with Sour Cream, Cheese, Crushed Tortilla Chips,
Regular Tortilla Chips with Salsa...
Pudding for Dessert...
...then Lanny mowed...
He mows everything else with the Big Toro
or the Bush Hog
but thank goodness this back yard is small enough
not to kill him in this 90 degree heat!!
Day is done...
finished all the chores...
Time for Jammies and a movie...
Tonight we will watch
"Quiet Man"
definitely a favorite
John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara movie!
