Sunday on Walden's Mountain... February 4

Quiet Time...

”You are the light of the world.
A city set on a hill cannot be hidden;“

Matthew 5:14 NASB

*****
Good Morning Sunday!

The days are warm
but the mornings still need a nice little fire...

Pups waiting for Bible Study Time...

Dad is having a very hard time
distinguishing between what is real and what is not...
he is very confused and sees bugs,
strange people, things moving around the ceiling...
please continue to pray for him...
I am still hoping that it is from the UTI
and that the antibiotics he is taking will help that...

*****

No changes in the Greens Room...

Freeze Dried Ginger... will be great for upset tummies
(we make a tea with it) and for times I need "fresh" ginger in a recipe...
I LOVE having it handy like this...
and it is organic!

My iHeart Sunflower Good Morning...
Well, it came up second, but I got it!

Pretty sunrise...

Out to the Barnyard...

Maggie gets SO excited...

So do the Chickies and Duckies...

And I had left over Popcorn for them this morning...

Max and Murph Fireside Buddies...

Sister Love...

Gave Dad a buzz...
he sure needed one...
He also got a shave...

It may seem odd that he is bedbound with "just a broken arm"...
well, he has no feeling in his feet and legs so can only "stand" when he uses both hands to push himself up... then he is totally relying on the walker...
with only one arm there is no way to stand up and no way to use the walker...
we can't even get him to lift himself up
enough to get a pad slipped under him
or to clean him up...
we are in a real pickle...
...he is 225 pounds of solid, immovable weight...

Hoping that tomorrow with the help of the nurse
we can move him into his new bed...
it should be more comfortable for him...
it has an air topper to help with bedsores and hot spots...

Watching Calvary on TV...
well, between buzzes :-)

Mom did it too...
...she had visitors in her room, and people going thru her drawers,
and in the closet, the fan moving on the ceiling, bugs up there...
it would be funny (some of the crazy stories)
if it wasn't so serious to the one experiencing it...
Dad is totally serious about it
and gets angry if I tell him it is a dream and not real...

Just giving you some specifics to add to your prayers :-)
But God knows!!!

I also keep Dad's spy cam on all the time...
I'd be running in there even more often than I already have to
if I didn't have him monitored...

Max loves his Daddy...

Lazy Pups!

The Chickens LOVE relaxing in the Goat House...

And the Goats have been enjoying the side yard...
Lanny threw some twigs over there
and they seem to like laying in them...

And my ducks ARE in a row...
a fence row!

Lanny is working on the leaks around the skylights in the Big Barn...
every time it rains we have four floods (under four skylights)
in the barn floor :-)

That is his shadow in the skylight...
I like to keep close watch on him when he is on the roof...
I don't know what I could do other than call an ambulance real fast :-)

I made some Breaded Chicken Breasts and Tater Tots...
his appetite needs to be prayed over as well :-)
He is only laying in bed, so I know he won't be very hungry
but he just isn't eating as much as I feel he should be...
or drinking either...
And the reason he is topless is because he is HOT!!!
He does tell me that with all CAPS :-)

First time I've had 5 eggs in one day in several months...
hopefully the ladies are gearing up for a big spring :-)

Well, tonight will be the next Star Trek...
one of our favorites...
"The Voyage Home"...
"...thar be whales here..."

*****

I will try to do a little baking
so let me know what you "wish" for and I will try to make it for you,
barring any unforeseen emergencies :-)

Goodnight Family and Friends...
God Bless
and
Sweet Dreams!
