Good Morning Wednesday...
Woke up this morning to
no water in the back of the house...
Long story, but that means
Rob and Molly have no water at all...
our Kitchen and Bath in the main part
of the house are fine...
Lanny had been up and starting a fire
when I discovered the water situation,
so he dressed and went out
and put some heat on the pipes
going to that part of the property...
Always something!!!
He finally came back in and
sat down in the warm living room
for some Quiet Time...
He's done all he can do
for the moment...
and now it is 8 degrees out there!!!
I gave a couple trays to the critters yesterday
so not much in the garden today...
I think the very low humidity is
not doing them any good...
Chow time for the fur kids...
Max got to eat by the stove...
And Maggie cleaned his plate
the instant he was done...
Lanny just ate an egg muffin this morning...
no fanfare!
Maggie doesn't care what it is
as long as she gets a nibble...
Out to the Barnyard...
Man, it is COLD!!!!
The broth was ready to strain...
bones/meat were 24 hours in the slow cooker...
so Lanny picked the meat off the bones...
some for us and some for the dogs...
LOTS of broth in the outside
fridge to gel...
the fat will rise (I will spoon it off)
and the broth will be like jello...
then I will can it!!
Bones back into the cooker for another
few hours
This was the meat Lanny got off for us...
I will make chicken salad for tonights dinner...

I think she is dressed for cold weather...
hence the gloves and beanie :-)
Lanny ate left overs for lunch
and I ate a chicken thigh...
As you know,
I cook up a big bunch and
freeze them in packs of 4
so we can have them for a snack
or sandwich...
I love it just cold out of the fridge :-)
Then we sat down for a short rest...
I had bread rising in the proofing oven
so had to get up
to put that IN the big oven,
then up to take it out...
But sitting any amount of time with my
Pack is resting!!
Sparkly Day...
a bit later than usual,
but that's OK :-)
They are waiting for afternoon/evening
treat time...
Just Lanny and me tonight...
we ate Chicken Salad Sandwiches and Chips...
Heading out to put the Goats to bed...
a little bit warmer than this morning!
Oh, and we got the water
running again to Robs and
the back of our house...
Tonight we will watch another Tom Cruise...
"Collateral"...
he is the bad guy in this one...
never seen him as a bad guy!!
We liked "The Firm"
last night so we are happy
with the $5 purchase :-)
...that makes the movies we've watched so far
less than one dollar each!!
I go back to see my Back Surgeon tomorrow...
he will Xray to check the fracture I am sure...
I hope he doesn't find another one
but I am sure that at the very least
I have hurt the first one...
my back is again hurting nearly
every move I make... :-(
