Tuesday on the Mountain... March 11

Quiet Time in Bible Study...

🌱

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

Philippians 1:21 ESV

“So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire! And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water? Can a fig tree, my brothers, bear olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Neither can a salt pond yield fresh water.”

James 3:5-12 ESV

“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.”

1 John 3:1-2 ESV

“And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.”

Daniel 2:21

Well, I didn't take my customary photo

of the clock this morning...

Maggie got me up three times barking

outside... we have a dog door

and have not been shutting it up

for the last few months...

Usually no problem at all,

but for some reason Maggie

kept going out and barking...

...the second time

I put the cover on the door

but I failed to latch it

so she figured it out and pushed it up

to get out again...

...around 4 she was out there barking

and we got up and brought her in...

I was a bit annoyed with her

and my routine was interrupted...

that is the reason I LOVE

schedules and ritual...

I am getting to the age that

off schedule creates a few problems :-)

Anyway, it was around 4 and everything else

went as planned...

Bible Study Time :-)

And Garden Time...
Going in to Black Out today...

Fur Kid Breakfast Time...

Sunny Radio...

Sparkly Day...

Paula is going out to lunch with a friend...

so Lanny and I are going to run a few errands

and then go to Steak 'n Shake for lunch :-)

They are one of the restaurants that

are going to use tallow for frying...

we definitely want to patronize those

businesses that are more concerned

with our health than with their profit!!

Time to head out to the Barnyard...

Yes, it's cold...

but it is supposed to get into the 70's today...

I will take the cold mornings!!! :-)

Look at the ducks following him to the coop...
they cannot wait for the food to come down!

One lone adventurer...
they will all come out this afternoon I'd wager!!

We headed down the hill around 10:30...

Passed the Ponderosa Ponies...

....and the Granite Ponies...

Went to the UGO in Clinton...
only needed a pack of the Ham ends and pieces...
YUM!!!

Then stopped at the bank...

...and the CoOp...

We decided not to go to Turkey Creek
and instead headed down Clinton Highway...
Ended up at the old
Golden Corral which is now called something else...
Anyway, it was pretty good.
Mostly Oriental Food but also steak
and some traditional American fare...
a bit expensive but it was fun
to be with my Honey...

We stopped at the Ingles and Food City
for a few grocery items
and then headed home...

Passed the Ponderosa Camels...

It was time to feed
the fur kids
and just enough time
to sit on the couch for a short rest...

He headed over to the meadow
on his Toro Mower
to pick up golf balls
and I set out with the pups
for a walk...

That is Max following us...

He loves it when we walk...

Murph doesn't like the horses
but they seem fascinated
by the little black creatures...

We will be stuffed til bedtime
after that big lunch...
no supper tonight.
I don't even think I will want a snack :-)

We will watch
"The Mummy"
tonight...
Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz...

Good Night Sweet Friends and Family...

God Bless You All

and

Sweet Dreams!
