Good Thursday Morning!
Starting off warm...
but I will open the door anyway
so I can hear the woodland sounds...
Bible Study Time...
distant frogs this morning....
there are creeks on either side of us
and there is usually a LOT of activity
out there when we get a bit of rain...
I watered the lettuce and fed the fur kids
and headed out to the Barnyard
around 6:30...
the usual time...
and they are ALWAYS
waiting, impatiently!
The Goats like empty feed bags...
I don't leave them out there because they
will eat the bag, but at first they
love the noise it makes and Baby loves
to go INSIDE the bag :-)
We removed a wheel barrow FULL,
but it is covered again!!!
It's OK...
the ducks like it
and it is keeping the water cleaner
and cooler...
tomorrow I will
scoop and dispose of
a ton more...
Egg hunt,
and removing Miss Broody...
she will go right back...
You can really tell how HUGE
these tomato plants are...
Lanny is 6 feet tall!!!
Watering every other day
in this heat...
the grass was SO lush and green
in the Spring, but this heat
is tiring it out...
Maggie Mae....
She is doing her egg song,
... and sure enough,
she laid an egg...
in the rocks...
Ducks are crazy!
This mornings
harvest... one bell pepper plant,
one sweet pepper plant,
two cherry toms and the
Big Boys are just now coming in!!!
Went over to love on Dandy
a bit this morning...
...gave him a few carrots...
Dog Days....
I LOVE my Kitchen Aid...
I am SO glad everyone recommended it...
It's even gorgeous when idle!
Sadie is at Centrifuge this week
with the Calvary Youth Group...
She is sitting on the bed,

I got a good deal on Bell Peppers yesterday
so I prepped them for the Freeze Dryer...
one of my favorite freeze dried veggies!!!
It's been cloudy and
these two are enjoying the "cooler" temps...
Made some burger buns...
They are fabulous!!!
Made us a Pulled Chicken Breast Burger
for Lunch...
so big that we split it!
Very YUMMY!!!

we had half a Hot Dog
made with the foot long
All Beef Wiener from Costco
(the one they use in the Food Court)...
YUMMY number two for the day!!!
Goats are in,
chores are done,
finished right before it started raining...
hope it rains a bit more...
we sure need some!!
So we are heading into the kinda sad
