A Day in the Life / Monday, October 26

Quiet Time as usual...

This morning we took a trip to Madisonville to pick up a side of beef that we bought from a friend. I didn't realize there was this much meat in a side...we are thrilled. AND, we tried out the cubed steak (country fried) for dinner and it was absolutely delicious!!

The Home Health nurse says that Dad's foot is much better and the medicine has also brought the swelling down. Praise the Lord.

We took a quick nap... at our age a nap is very beneficial :-)

The youth pastor came up to borrow a few hay bales for the annual Hoe Down for the youth group...jeans, boots, flannel and S'Mores... we won't be doing the Hallelujah Party on the 31st because of the virus...

As I said, we had cube steak for dinner, along with mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans...YUMMY!!

Lanny and I took our evening drive around the property and fed the fish in the big pond... it's so wet from the rain that we parked the MULE at the top and hiked down to the pond... the trail is VERY slick and we didn't want to risk getting stuck. Also, we can use the exercise.

Then home for popcorn and a movie...Back to the Future 2...

On the way to Madisonville...

Do you think this girl is spoiled...Maggie Mae...

Lanny drove so I could sight see...

It is SO beautiful up here on our mountain...

The little pond...

We parked the Mule and headed down the hill to feed the fish...

The catfish are huge in the big pond and we could count at least a dozen at a time eating on the top as we threw out the food...no telling how many big fish are in this pond. I think it may be time for a fish fry :-)

Goodnight Y'all....
