A Day in the Life / Sunday, November 8

Quiet Time...and at 4:30 in the morning it really is quiet. My favorite time of the day... "Be still and know that He is God..."...

"And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." - Joshua 24:15

Woke the chickens and ducks...I know that sounds funny. People usually say "up with the chickens", but we are up WAY before the chickens :-)

I think they've settled their differences and they seem to be tolerating each other a little better today...

My audience whenever I am in the kitchen...

I topped their dogfood with some deer steak this morning so they were very eager to eat...even Skipper!

Mom and Dad were going to go to the worship service today...Daddy was going to wear his uniform since it's Veterans Day...but alas, neither of them felt like going. It's hard to get up and around when you are 91..

Lanny went early to do sound checks, etc. I went for the service only since I had already arranged for someone to sing in the ensemble for me.

We had left over pintos, macaroni and cheese and cornbread for "Sunday Dinner". I also had made some biscuit bread this morning that was quite yummy.

After a quick cat nap Lanny took me out for a Sunday drive in the MULE...

It is so beautiful up here...and it just gets more beautiful every day!

Lanny is back at church for the evening service and should be home around 7:30. A bit late for us to start a movie but we probably will anyway...we can always pause it and finish it tomorrow :-) Die Hard 4 tonight...

Goodnight Y'all...
