A Day in the Life / Friday, January 1

Quiet Time....

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.”

2 Corinthians 5:17

Mr. Max

Started our New Years Day as we start every day...in the Word with our fur kids...

I am starting Genesis 1 as I usually do on New Years Day...this year I am doing the Bible Project again...it is really a great way to read the Bible thru in a year AND there are videos thrown in all along to help you understand the book, who wrote it, when, why, etc...try it, you will LOVE it!

I think you can sign up for it here: https://bibleproject.com/reading-plans/

and you can also read it on your iPad or phone...

This is my Debbie's Corner blog...I put several devotional readings here by authors now in heaven and contemporary ... if you want to read several devotionals without a stack of books or searching sites, this is the place for you...one stop devotionals :-)

Sun is rising....

It was a nice morning so my outside chores were easy :-)

*****

...and then the fun begins...Lanny and I drove to AutoNation in Knoxville to buy a 4 wheel drive car...we loved our Matrix but we really needed a 4 wheel up on this mountain...Lanny had already picked out the car online so there was no looking and driving and this dealership already has the lowest prices so no haggling!......so, after 4 hours working on paperwork and enjoying getting to know our salesman (we shared pictures and stories and now we have a new friend!)...
...we drove off in a "new" car....

It's a 2013 Toyota Venza..."new" to us! with all the bells and whistles! We already love it!

Our salesman Joseph (Joe) from Lebanon. We had a fun day!

Had to say bye to my little black Matrix...one of the best cars we've ever had...but it was a 2004 and only 2 wheel drive and when it's time, it's time...

It was 3 o'clock when we finally got home and the fur kids were "starving"!

...but so were we, so Lanny ran down to Domino's Pizza and brought home 2 Extravaganza pizza's...WOW! Delicious if you've never had one!

So, we will be watching Harry Potter #3 tonight (Prisoner of Azkaban)...perhaps enjoy some popcorn and cuddling with our fur kids...

Goodnight Y'all!

Friday on Walden's Mountain... May 10

Quiet Time... “O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, in a dry and weary land ...
