Quiet Time....

This was last night...begging for popcorn :-)

...the usual morning: get Dad situated, make beds, feed dogs (Max was still at the Vets), then out to wake up the chickens and ducks...around here we are awake BEFORE the chickens :-)

...and not 10 minutes later!

The sunrise was GORGEOUS!!

It's really cold out there!!

Maggie and Murphy have the right idea!

...but no matter the weather, once that sun peeks out the critters are ready to come out too!

..and ALWAYS, two big duck eggs!

Lanny did some trash burning today...

Robbie came over to start opening up their house...they want more light over there, so windows and sliding doors are in their future...

And Robbie has a new Do! He cut his hair and shaved his mountain man beard...

I think he looks fabulous!!!

He also joined the crew for breakfast: oatmeal, toast, boiled duck eggs...

I wasn't hungry so I sat down just to converse with them as they ate...Maggie is positive that she is tiny and weighs only 5 pounds! HA!! She was wedged between me and the chair arm!

Rob and Lanny went out on the MULE and 4-Wheeler to look around the property and then came back for some chicken noodle soup...

The vet called and said Max could come home so Lanny and Rob went down the hill to get him...he is SO glad to be home... he's been sitting on his tree perch all day...

We ran out of propane yesterday so I finished seasoning the griddle today...

This is Luke....the barn cat...we think he must be doing an excellent job because we never see any rodents and he is huge!!! ...he must eat a LOT of critters! :-)

I Barbecued the left over Chicken Thighs, made Dinner Fries, Green Beans and Carrot, Beets and Crescent Rolls...

Lanny took care of the Puppy Land Mines and I put the Fowl to bed...he is in the shower and I am in my jammies, as usual, waiting for the movie to start...

Indiana Jones, The Crystal Skull is the feature tonight and I am sure there are some snacks from the Snack Bar in our future as well...
