A Day in the Life / Friday, June 11

Quiet Time.....

“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.”

‭‭John‬ ‭14:1‬

*****

Nice, quiet study time...
then out at 6 for the morning outside chores...

Two duck eggs...

Lanny burned the paper stuff this morning...fire is really quite beautiful...

The first year plants are budding out...exciting!
Bee Balm

Coral Honeysuckle

Lavender

The solar dusk to dawn Flamingo that Danny got for me...

Still getting radishes...

Picked some herbs to dry this morning...
Oregano, Basil, Thyme in the mesh bag, Sage...

This little hummer girl thought she was hiding by going to the back side of the feeder... I snuck up on her :-)

Robbie making his morning coffee...
it's raining of course!

Lanny and Paula discussing coral/pasture extension...

I cleaned up the pots and pans, pressure cookers and canners we are storing in the Common Area... these are all large items and things that might be needed and used by any of the families here...Eventually we will build a large community kitchen in here and have all the big stuff for crowds out here. We will also do the Family Night cooking out here and my kitchen in the house will be for just our smaller group...

Made us some broiled sandwiches for lunch...
buns, cheese and baloney... fancy...

Lanny and I took a little snooze....
it was storming, so Mitzi was shaking and panting...
but eventually she settled down and let me comfort her...

After our nap, Lanny went back out to the pole barn shop and did some sorting...
'bout the only thing you can do when it's raining!

Bossy laid her egg in the duck house today...

I feel like she is hiding "Easter" eggs for me...
on the pool deck, under the pool deck, behind the storage box, under the fuse box, even in a flower pot. Crazy!

Mitzi hid under (or halfway under) Mom's bed...
she really HATES storms.

For supper I reheated the left over fish planks and Normandy veggies from last night...added some Popcorn Shrimp, Green Beans, Corn and Beets and a Salad...

I cleaned up the kitchen and walked out to visit the horses...
Paula was giving them a bit of hay while she cleans the stalls...

Her corn is getting pretty tall!

So, I put the chicks and ducks to bed...got their water bowls and ponds ready for tomorrow, set the raccoon trap... yes, we still have some coons, but they are NOT bothering the garden...just visiting.

Look at the size of this critter...been getting some good meals SOMEWHERE...
but not here! Lanny secured the BioPod and I don't leave anything out.
This was taken with the motion camera at 4 AM...

We are in our Jammies, getting ready to pop some corn and watch Wall-E.
We love these "kids movies" even when the kids aren't here :-)

Goodnight Y'all...
God Bless!
