A Day in the Life / Thursday, September 23

Quiet Time....

I love this verse...

“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!

Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭34:8‬

*****

Time for Prayer and Bible Study...

With our little pack!
Maggie and Murphy are under the blankets...

Got up from the snuggly couch about 6 and started my morning...
Took care of Mom and Dad and the fur kids, made the bed after removing Max from his Daddy's side of the bed :-)

and headed out at sunup...
around 7...

Two duck plus three chicken eggs...

It is just a big mud hole back in the chicken and duck lot...SO much rain!
But I think it's over for a few days!!

Lettuce, spinach and kale...

Mitzi in her favorite spot...in Mom's room on her pillows...

Lanny is working on the toilet this morning...
it's running when it shouldn't :-)
He's putting together all the innards...

Paula and I burned some trash...

And I made a loaf of artisan bread...I LOVE this bread.
Like sourdough but without all the trouble!
No kneading and only one rise!!

Max has found another nice spot...on Daddy's bed!!

... unless Daddy moves around a lot, and then he heads for Mom's room...

Grilled cheese for lunch and then a short nap...

And after our nap we went out to close the pool.
I used to hate when this time came...when the kids were little and always around.
But now there just isn't that much going on in the pool and I guess I am getting old...
I look forward to fall and no summer chores!

Lanny got his official BooBoo... but we got the cover on and it's DONE!!

I picked the last (or nearly the last) okra and fried it up for dinner...

We had Panko Chicken Breasts, Fried Okra and Mac and Cheese, Homemade Bread and Pudding for Dessert.

Mom is feeling a bit better and joined us at the table.
Praise the Lord!! The pain is easing up.

*****
Lanny picked up the puppy piles in the back yard and then mowed it.
It was starting to look like a jungle with all the rain.

I put the chicks and ducks to bed and cleaned up the water buckets and pools.
What a mess!

Lanny is in the shower and I'll finish up this post and we will settle in for another episode of The Chosen...

Goodnight Y'all...
God bless the USA
and
Sweet Dreams!
