Early Evening Update:
Dad's Home Health Nurse came today, as well as the Physical Therapy Nurse. They will check for a UTI to see if that is contributing to the confusion and disorientation. But he is doing SO well going to the bathroom (with just a little help) and eating all his meals. For lunch I made us Fried Baloney Sandwiches and he ate a half as well as a hand full of chips.
He is always freezing...I think the blood pressure pill they sent him home with is not quite right...he never had high blood pressure and now when I check him it is on the low side...but his followup appointment is Monday. Hopefully it will all come together then...
He asked for a snack around 2...I gave him some peaches and mini fudge stripe cookies...hope it doesn't spoil his supper too much :-) At least he is HUNGRY!!
For supper I made Chili Mac with the delicious Chili Viki sent over Friday and added some Garlic Toast and Pudding for dessert. He ate maybe half a bowl of the Chili Mac, his toast, and all his pudding...
Please continue to pray that his mind clears and he knows where he is. Sometimes I am not sure he does, and even that he may not know exactly who we are...
Since he is going to the bathroom on his own and moving around a little better I am going to try to turn off my "Hovering Momma" mode and sleep a bit tonight :-) God is so good and I know He is giving me the energy I need to care for my patients :-)
Lanny is two days off the oxygen and doing very well. Still very tired and a bit slow, but improving every day. As for me, I can actually smell a little bit and taste some things... kinda... but that doesn't stop me from eating (HAHA)! I will certainly be glad when that all returns to normal. I LOVE the taste of food :-)
Thank you all for your continued prayers. I know we would not be where we are today without them. God is SO very good...

Quiet Time...
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
Matthew 7:7

Dad was up most of the night...At 2am he was "hungry"...but he is strong enough to go the bathroom alone (using his walker of course) and he obviously can get in and out of the bed in spite of the rails...I don't think we will ever be able to keep in in...
When he did finally get back in bed (about the time other people are getting up :-) this was the scene...Skipper and Max keeping watch...
When he got up around 8:00 he ate a cake donut (his long time routine) and drank a little coffee... later in the morning I gave him some cocoa because he was cold. His Home Health nurse will be here around noon.
Lanny is doing very well. Up at the normal 4:30 and having our devotion/quiet time. He hasn't been on oxygen since Saturday afternoon. His blood sugar is fluctuating from 163 to over 400 and then this morning to 256... our doctors appointment is Wednesday so perhaps they will have an insulin/meds routing that will help keep that stable.
God is giving me rest in between the chaos :-)
Thank you for your prayers...
The sky was quite lovely this morning...
The chicks and ducks were happy, as usual, to be set free for the day...
And the usual two duck eggs...I am only getting one or two chicken eggs right now so we are averaging around two dozen a week... plenty for the four of us ... :-)
