Sunday on the Farm / October 24

Sunday Evening:

When Dad first got up (around 6) he had a cake donut with his coffee...I think his appetite is perking up a bit!

We were sure it was perking up when around 8 he ate an egg, sausage and toast for breakfast!! I wheeled him into the living room instead of letting him eat in his room...

He rolled around the living room for almost two hours...

For lunch he ate half a chicken sandwich and some potato chips!

Lanny didn't need his oxygen all night and he hasn't needed it all day. He is getting up every couple hours and doing the exercises that the physical therapy nurses gave him... he is definitely getting stronger...

After lunch Dad took a nap and Max joined him...all afternoon!

We had Fish, Green Beans and Potatoes, Macaroni and Tomatoes and Pudding for dinner...

Dad cleaned his plate...AGAIN!!! We are so happy!!

So, today has been a very good day for Dad. He is still confused but seems to be remembering a few more things every day. He went to the bathroom today with a little help from Mom and that is really a move forward. We are very hopeful! And we are very thankful... thank you Lord for your healing power.

Continue to lift us up in prayer...it's working!!

Quiet Time...

“Many plans are in a man’s heart, But the counsel of the Lord will stand.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭19:21

*****

Daddy keeps trying to get up in the middle of the night and I had to go in twice to get him settled back in bed. He is very confused and isn't sure what is going on, but thank the Lord, he knows who we are and is not fighting us. I am thankful for the camera and I can keep an eye on him without getting up and going in there every few minutes. :-) Continue to pray for his peace of mind and comfort.
Notice his dog Skipper keeping watch :-)

Lanny slept without the oxygen machine, all night!! His O2 lever is holding in the 90"s and even tho his blood sugar went from 196 yesterday morning to 405 at bedtime, this morning it is 163...we are headed in the right direction. Our followup appointment is Wednesday so perhaps he will get a new regimen at that time to keep it regulated. He is feeling well but still pretty weak.

God is the Great Physician and there is plenty of healing going on over here...
Thank you all for your prayers.
