October 18 / Monday on the Mountain...

Evening Update:

The physical therapists showed Lanny some things to do, things to look out for, etc. and he is now in the shower enjoying his razor :-)

Dad was moved back to a regular room. Mom and Paula got to see him and took him some snacks. They were there when he had his physical therapy and he walked a little (with assistance) around the room.

Mom had a doctors appointment this morning and her vitals are all good. Perhaps a slight urinary infection and other misc. annoyances :-) but she will be good as new very soon. She has new meds.

Casey (the dog that keeps causing big time stress around here) also got some allergy meds and we will hope that he settles down. When it rains it pours, and lately it has been a CYCLONE around here :-)

But there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Keep praying. We love you and thank you ALL!!

2 PM Update:

Lanny's Home Health nurse just left. She took all his vitals (all is looking well) and filled out all the paperwork... we will have a nurse visit three times a week. We are waiting for the Physical Therapist to come and walk him around and see how his vitals hold in activity. Then we will know how much he should and should not do. He is eating well and drinking fluids and his oxygen is holding well but not when he tries to just go with free air. It will be a few days before he can go without the oxygen.

Paula and Mom will go visit Dad after Mom's doctors appointment and I will update his condition at that time. His doctor said he is feeling better today and had eaten a little bit. Mom is taking him some snacks so maybe that will perk him up :-)

****************

Look what we are doing...5 AM and enjoying our Quiet Time... just like in the olden days :-)

I should be getting a call from Dad's doctor by 9:30 or so. I will pass on his update at that time.

Continue praying.... we feel it!!
