COVID UPDATE: Sunday, October 17

4:00 PM UPDATE

After waiting since 10:30 this morning for all the paperwork and prescriptions, and then for Home Health and Oxygen deliveries to be set up, we are FINALLY HOME!!!
He is not in any pain, he is about to cry for joy :-)

We stopped and picked up a burger and fries and he ate it ALL and is settled down with his fur babies on the couch. After I put the chicks and ducks to bed and get in my jammies we will watch a movie and eat a candy bar and pretend it's all been a bad dream...

Dad is a little better today. They removed the catheter and his IV and Kyra took him a milkshake (he drank it with the Whopper Malted Milk Balls that I took him). Kyra is very good medicine for Daddy. They took him off the high flow oxygen to see if he could tolerate regular oxygen...havent heard yet how that is going. Continue to pray for him that he can come home soon. He is really uncomfortable there. Paula is going to take Mom up to see him tomorrow and I will let you know how that goes.

Thank you for your prayers...Keep 'em coming!

9 AM:

Still waiting for calls from the doctors. Usually by 10 AM.

Lanny has texted me smiley faces and hearts all morning. I think it is safe to say that he is anxious to come home. I will update when I know the details. But yesterday his Doctor said today for sure!!

I am anxious to hear from Dad's doctor. He wasn't doing well yesterday afternoon but since I didn't hear from his doctor (who has been very good about calling me with changes) I think that in this case no news is good news.

Mom is eating an egg sandwich at this moment... and is feeling weak but not in distress (no aFib this morning and no dog emergencies!!). I am hanging in there. I am pretty weak myself but I feel so much better than I did... I judge things by degree...I am better and that is GOOD!!!

God is good all the time...all the time, God is GOOD!!!

Keep praying, especially now for Dad and Mom.

  1. Yay! So glad that Lannie is home. Even in his weakness, he will be a great support to you. Still praying for your Dad and Mom, and for you too! Take care and try to rest when you can. God is the great healer!
