Monday on the Snowy Mountain ... January 3

Quiet Time...

“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬

*****

Mom and Dad were up all night because their older dog Skipper had several seizures during the night ...they didn't get me up... it wore them out!!
So Dad was in the bed when I got up at 3:45...

It was really quite pretty...for a minute or two...

Waiting for their Daddy to get up and come to the couch...

Didn't take long...

Murphy loves the fire...

Max loves to sit above the fire and go behind the TV...
I play iHeart Radio on the TV and Max thinks we want to look at him
instead of the Soundscape images :-)

The dogs take turns on the fire bench...

Dad got up about 6 so I took care of him: meds, socks, coffee, Breakfast Burrito :-)
I changed our sheets and threw some laundry in the washer.
Fed the dogs and kitty... Skipper had a bad seizure before breakfast but he ate...
he was not himself tho, and went all around to the bowls trying to eat from each one...he was pacing and running into things... I knew I would have to take him to the vet..

Went out at sunup to take care of the chicks and ducks...

This was about all the snow we got...

And one duck egg..

Skipper had several more very severe seizures and the other 4 dogs were so concerned...they knew he was in trouble... it was so hard to watch him...
Paula and I tried to find a vet and all were so busy, but finally Anderson County Veterinary said to bring him right down...we were so thankful. I loaded him up and went down the hill.
Skipper was at least 12-13 years old and probably older. He had been having seizures since Mom and Dad got him in 2010 but never as bad as these. Anyway, he went to sleep and across the Rainbow Bridge at 10 AM. I held him and loved him over to the other side. Mom and Dad will miss him so much...we all will.

I made some Ham Sandwiches for the men when I got home. Paula had to take Mom to Parkwest for her PET scan at noon so she couldn't eat. We will know Wednesday what the plans are for the mass in her lung.

Paula ate the other half of Daddy's sandwich before they headed out...
She had an audience, of course. But only four now...

Lanny and I sat down with the fur kids after they left...

Could she be any cuter?!

The dogs (especially Casey) waiting for Mom to get home...

We had Pork and Gravy over Egg Noodles and Spinach for Supper...

Then we headed down the hill to get our rooster...
When we pulled up this is what we saw... Wendy had gone up to the coop and scooped him up...
he does not mind being held... my heart is happy!!!

...look how beautiful he is... and he doesn't even have his spurs or his tail yet!!

The girls were in the boxes and on the roost when we got home,
so we sat him on the other roost and walked away.
They made some of the sweetest little coo noises but when I looked at the camera a bit later he was trying to get amorous in the dark...they were not interested..
I hope no one gets injured in the night :-)
I'll report tomorrow...

Good night Y'all...
What a day... joy, sadness, joy...
God is good.

We will watch more of The Chosen ands probably have some popcorn...

Sweet Dreams
and
God bless us, Every One!!
