Quiet Time...
“The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.”
Proverbs 29:25
*****
Dad was snoring when I came into the living room :-)
So I got everything ready except for his biscuit :-)
He got up around 4:15, so I took care of him and then settled in for Quiet Time...
I love my iPad...
I can make the text as big as I need to...
old eyes :-)
Max is quite needy in the morning.
He insists on Lanny making him the center of his world!
He wants to be IN his arms and ON the trackpad!!
At 6 I hit the floor running...
made the beds, fed the fur kids,
decanted the kefir... water and milk...
I make small batches of the cow and goat milk kefir
because only Mom and I drink it
and I give each dog a tablespoon in their morning meal...
even dogs need probiotics!!
Needed to make tea... I don't hot brew my tea.
I brew it cold on the counter. And everyone that drinks it says they love it.
I think it is not as bitter.
I just put a big gallon tea bag in cold water and walk away...
I'll fill you in on the progress later :-)
Making brownies for tonight and tomorrows Sunday Dinner...
I crumble little pretzels into the batter...
salt and sweet...
Then I put some tiny pretzels on top.
Bake as usual...
Voila!!
Cut 'em and hide 'em til dinner :-)
Headed out at daybreak...
Maggie on point listening to the ducks...
It's pretty cold out here!
Gotta wear my beanie cap!
OK, so here is the tea in less than an hour.
I do dissolve the sugar in boiling water
and then top off with cold water to fill the 1/2 gallon jar.
I leave the bag in for a couple hours if I am not
serving it right away and put it in the fridge.
Made Dad and Lanny an Omelette, Sausage and Toast for second breakfast...
Cleaned the coffee pot...
Vinegar...
my pot tells me every 12-14 days
to "clean me" :-)
Took Paula some home made bread...
her pups were being too cute not to take a picture of them :-)
Putting some beef chunks from the beef we bought last year
into the InstantPot... if you don't already keep flour in a big shaker
jar for things like this you should! It makes it so easy...
I keep it by the stove and use it to make gravy as well...
Browning the beef before I pressure it...
Made us some Ham Croissandwiches for lunch :-)
I had some delicious croissants left over from a casserole
I made last week so I used them for sandwiches.
It won't be the last time...they were YUMMY!!
And then, no surprise, Siesta time!
Maggie was warming my spot :-)
We got up to continue our day
but the fur kids were not quite finished with their nap :-)
Went out to check the boxes...
Coconut egg :-)
I will be going next week to pick up three new hens from a good friend...
I am SO excited!!
Maggie wants to join me any time I come out...
Casey touched the fence yesterday so he was hanging back today :-)
Roasting some potatoes for dinner...
... and some Brussels Sprouts!
YUM!!
Beef and Gravy, Roasted Potatoes, Roasted Brussels Sprouts,
Garlic Bread and Brownies for Dessert...
Rob came over and made a big plate for him and Molly...
Kitchen is clean, yard is clean, feathered babies are in bed,
I am in my Jammies waiting for Lanny to get his Jammies on...
Tonight is Guardians of the Galaxy 2!
Goodnight Family and Friends!
Love you ALL!
God bless and Sweet Dreams!
