Saturday on the Hill... April 30

Quiet Time....

Dad was up :-)

Got him situated with all his goodies

plus a Breakfast Burrito...

Then for Quiet Time...

Lanny joined us a little later...

Murphy is under the light blanket 

and Maggie is half in and half out of the red one...

Max was in the bed at 6 of course...

I ran him out...

Straight into his Daddy's arms :-)

Out at Daybreak to visit with and take care of my feathered kids...

My usual two duck eggs...

And a little later in the morning Popcorn, Sugar and Gabby...

And then a little later than that Coppertina and Coconut!

Aren't they pretty!?

I heated up some left overs for lunch and then Lanny and I ran down to Erin's Meadow to look at herbs... I had my camera/phone out the whole time using a picture app to check on the plants and did not take a single picture of US... I fully intended to... Anyway, we bought some herbs and I will show you that finished product maybe tomorrow...

Dad is spending a lot of time out here in the driveway (in the sun til he gets too warm) and then in the big bay doorway... he used to do that at their old house but it was because he LOVED watching the neighbors and trying to figure out what they were up to... now he has no neighbors 

and can only watch birds, hawks, vultures, rabbits, etc...

I think I like this better :-)

Look at these pretty colors!

For supper we had Fish Sticks, Hush Puppies, Macaroni and Tomatoes, 

Yams and Pudding for Dessert..

Mom is still in her room...

Time out (haha)!

Planted some of the herbs we bought today at Erin's Meadow...

Black Haw Viburnum behind the duck pond...

I think this will be an only child... 

I thought it was dead but on further inspection it is still alive...

just naked... 

Lanny is taking Dad down to the little pond to fish awhile...

Daddy LOVES to fish and has mentioned it several times this spring.

Hopefully it will be an uneventful trip, 

except for maybe catching a little bluegill or two...

they make me nervous out in the wilderness together :-)

Lanny just sent me these...

Even if they don't catch anything I'd say Dad is enjoying it!

The dishes are done, Lanny picked dup the puppy piles before they left, 

I put the chicken feed away....

I took my shower and am in my jammies.

We watched "North to Alaska" last night...

not sure what it will be tonight...

I'll let you know tomorrow.

Friday on the Farm... April 29

Quiet Time...

Dad was up and waiting :-)

Fixed him a Sausage, Egg and Cheese Biscuit 

to go with his coffee and meds...

And then I hit the couch for Quiet Time...

Lanny got up shortly after and even Mitzi joined us for a little while...

Sorry for the multiple Maggie Mug Shots but she is just so stinkin' cute!!!

This is what I was trying to get...

she is so relaxed and I love those little bottom teeth :-)

OK, so Mitzi left about half way thru Study time and joined Max in our bed, 

and at 6 I ran them OUT!!!

So all are back on the couch with their Daddy... 

he stays there a bit longer than I do...

he likes to get his morning dose of the news...

Headed out at day break...

Gabby and Penny...

Water Kefir day...

Out the kitchen window... they know when I am in the kitchen 

and wait at the gate... for treats!

Mom called me to her room... she had gone to the bathroom 

and when she came back Max had taken over her throw cover... :-)

I ran out to check the egg boxes...

Popcorn, Sugar, Goldie and Coconut...

Made us some Turkey Sandwiches on Hawaiian Rolls for lunch...

So Yummy!

Then Lanny and I took a little siesta..

Such a baby....

Lanny and Paula are still working on her electric and I am working in the yard...

Chickens are dust bathing in the sun...

Ducks love rain...

Even when it is artificial...

they love for me to spray them!

The Hosta and Ice Plants...

I'll have to bring the umbrella out soon... 

the sun on that water really heats it up.

We may eventually build an arbor/gazebo top over it to shade it...

that would be really pretty!

The Wisteria will be opening any day...

Coral Trumpet Honeysuckle...

I took Dad with me down the hill in the MULE to get the mail...

He likes to ride in it...

he will sit out here in the driveway for hours this time of year...

Lanny is modifying pipes and fittings and things for the circuit box...

I don't know how he knows how to do all this stuff...

Truly a JACK OF ALL TRADES!!

Dandy came running... he thought I'd have a carrot but I only had a camera :-)

Paula has lots of blooms on her strawberry plants!!

Willow laid her egg for the day...

7 eggs so far today!

Made Panko Chicken Breasts, Normandy Veggies, Beets and Salad for Supper...

Momma is still eating in her room...

The kitchen is cleaned up, the chicken feed is put away, the back yard is free of puppy landmines and I am in my jammies finishing up this post. 

Lanny took off with the walk behind weed eater so no telling where he is. 

But he WILL come home for movie time.

It's our favorite time of day (after our morning Quiet Time) :-)

Tonight is "North to Alaska"...
