Friday on the Farm... April 8

Quiet Time...

“In peace I will both lie down and sleep;
for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭4:8‬
*****
Dad got up shortly after I did...

I made him a Breakfast Burrito to go with his coffee this morning...
He eats, drinks one cup of coffee and then goes right back to bed...

...We settled in for Study Time...
Max joined his Daddy this morning...

Maggie and Murphy were in the blankets, as usual...

Ran Mitzi off the bed at 6...

I fed the fur kids, emptied the dishwasher and ran a cleaning cycle.
I like to do that about once a month. I also took the stove apart
and cleaned the burners and under the stove top.

Then.... daybreak!

It's so damp that 39 degrees felt pretty chilly this morning...

But still beautiful up here!!

...these chickies and ducks don't care how chilly it is!!

Two days in a row only one duck egg...
Hmmmmmm...

This man really loves me!
It is SO hard for him to get up under that sink.
Bifocals and 76 year old bones make it pretty hard work...
But he does it anyway :-)

Fried Eggs, Sausage and Toast for Breakfast...

A Pearl White, Coconut and Goldie...

And a little later, the other Pearl White.

Nearly all the chickies will eat from my hand now...
Popcorn and Sugar are still nervous, but the rest will do it!!!

That's Bucky eating in front...

I made us some Ham Salad for Lunch...
Then Lanny and I took a 60 minute Siesta...
it was raining anyway, so it was called for.

*****

Now he is out there in the damp, cold weather working on the pond again.
Those ducks better be grateful :-)

Paula took Mom with her to the vet...
It's time for Cody's next set of puppy shots...she changed his name from Cash...
he just wasn't responding to that...

The new pump and filter came today so we will set that up today or tomorrow...
It's gonna be chilly work either way!

*****
Chicken Nuggets, Twice Baked Potatoes, Green Beans and Carrots
and Green Salad... Pudding for Dessert.

Puppy piles are disposed of, chicken feed is stored away,
kitchen is clean, I am in my jammies and waiting for Lanny to get in his...

We watched the 2004 version of Manchurian Candidate last night and tonight we will watch the 1960 version.  Black and White...
I don't know what it is about B&W but I LOVE 'em!!

Goodnight Y'all...
God bless America and God bless you ALL!!
Sweet Dreams!
