Tuesday in the Hills... April 26

Quiet Time...

“Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:3-5‬

*****
Daddy was up and waiting....

All his essentials together, including a Sausage, Egg and Cheese Biscuit...
I got him all situated...

Then hit the couch...
It was raining so Mitzi was sticking like glue!

She is such a wimpy girl...
even after living with us for nearly 11 years something in her earlier life made her terrified of storms or unexpected noises
(even dropping a spoon can send her running)...
she shakes and pants and it is so sad.

Moved Max out (as usual) to make the bed...
I had already pulled my side up so they wouldn't get on my pillow
with their shedding little selves...

Did a few early morning chores...
then headed out to the chickies and ducks...

Rainy, dark morning...

Gabby and Penny did their job!

The Lord sends rainy days this time of year so I can do some housework INSIDE :-)
I vacuumed, dusted, mopped, and all that jazz...
Not nearly as fun as playing outside!!

This was right before I turned on the vacuum...
they all scatter when I am cleaning.
They move from room to room to escape :-)

Lanny is working at the church today so he wasn't here for breakfast or lunch.
Dad slept thru 8 am breakfast...  He had gone to bed after his first 4am breakfast and when I tried to get him up he said he would rather sleep...
I told him the kitchen would be closed til lunch :-)
That may seem mean but I am trying to keep him on a schedule
and I am already in the kitchen most of the time...
if I fixed meals between his naps I'd never get out of there!! :-)

He has been up all night so he has to have something at 4am...
then I fix breakfast at 8, lunch at 11, dinner at 4
and evening snacks between 6 and 8 pm...
that's it!!
*****

I made Tuna Sandwiches for Mom, Dad and me for lunch,
and did a few more boring inside chores...
spot cleaned some rugs and straightened some drawers... ugh :-)

But OH!!! The sun is peeking out and I hear Lanny coming in...
We are going to Tennessee Naturescapes to look at plants...

I will put them in their permanent homes hopefully tomorrow
and will take some pics then...

Popcorn, Sugar and Goldie...
they are on a pretty common schedule!

Quickly made some Hot Dogs and Fixin's for supper...
we cut it pretty close...

Mom ate in her room...

Paula's new baby Cody got a hair cut (his first) today
and he doesn't look like a puppy anymore!!!

Robbie is hunting tools for a job he's on....

Paula brought Cody over to see Mom and Dad and the dogs were VERY interested... they smell Cody on my clothes every time I come home from Paula's so they were most interested to see where that smell comes from...
I think they were relieved to know that he was not staying! :-)

Lanny is out in the MULE but I am sure he will head home soon...
I have cleaned up the kitchen and put the chicken feed away...
I'll get cleaned up and in my jammies and wait til movie time...
We watched "The Searchers" last night (still John Wayne)
and we have a couple more JW movies in our library...

Continue to lift my Momma in your prayers,
she is feeling a tiny bit better every day...

Goodnight Family and Friends...
God bless and Sweet Dreams!
