Thursday in the Hills... July 21

Quiet Time...

Dad was up...

Made him some Sausage Biscuits

and sat down with the pups... 

Maggie was stressed over the storm.

It was pretty active up here on the hill. 

My gauge is a 5" and it was full...

Paula's gauge is a 7" and it was full...

we had a LOT of rain.

AND, lightening and thunder.

Mitzi was under the bed.

Needless to say, 

it was not a very "Quiet" Time over here :-)

But we spent it in the Word....

Waited a bit later until the rain let up some to go outside. 

It was still raining but at least it wasn't pouring!

Didn't take my camera out, so no pics this morning...

Browned the ground beef that I had thawed and got it ready to can...

Made 6 pint jars...

I guess she was worn out from this morning :-)

Decanted the Kefir and took the berries to the chickies...

Made Daddy and Lanny some Eggs and Toast for Breakfast...

Ground Beef is out of the canner...

I began working on Spaghetti Sauce and got it into the canner.

Then for lunch we had Mexican Ramen...

Lanny and I rested, but did not nap...

I was listening to the canner jiggle...

Canned 6 Quarts of Spaghetti Sauce...

Six quarts, no meat, so when I am ready to fix the meal 

I can add a pound of the beef, cook up the spaghetti and there you have it!!

Amber was suffering... Lanny had to put her to rest.

He hates doing that but he knows when it's time...

I hope Opal doesn't grieve herself the death...

Lanny bought a load of mulch and covered the run area... 

it was getting really muddy... this mulch is great. 

It is Playground mulch/chips and composts very slowly 

but soaks up a LOT of water... 

it is perfect for the chicken run and we also have it in the dog area.

Well, tonight I warmed up the leftover Chinese Food, added some of my green beans with carrots and new potatoes, some chicken nuggets and pudding for dessert...

I am full and that is the object, right!

Lanny picked up the puppy landmines, I cleaned up the kitchen, with Paula's help, and then went out and put the chicken feeders away...

Lanny is in the shower, I am in my jammies and tonight we will continue with the Marvel Series... Tonight is number 9... Captain America: Winter Soldier.
