Quiet Time...
“but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared
to make a defense to anyone who asks you
for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,”
1 Peter 3:15 ESV
*****
Daddy was up and ready for his goodies...
a couple of Biscuit Roll Ups to go with his coffee and meds today...
Maggie and Murphy, look like two burrito's....
Lanny joined us in a few minutes...
Finished up around 5:45...
Fed the fur kids and made the bed
and then headed out to the birds...
Gabby and Penny's nightime gifts...
And Opal watching over Amber...
Gave them some watermelon over the kitchen gate
so I could watch them thru the window :-)
They say that the average in Tennessee is 17 prescriptions per person...
Somewhere someone is taking a LOT of meds... Mom and Dad only have about 7 between them... the other stuff is vitamins, etc...
Lanny has one prescription and I have none!...
Lightly browned some ground beef for some chili I will can this afternoon...
I had planned to do the chili yesterday but the beans interrupted that... the beef was in the fridge and I have to fix it right away. I have another 5 pounds that I will fix tomorrow for the spaghetti sauce...
But first we have to get Mom and Dad to the foot doctor for toenail cutting :-)
It's a trick to get everyone and every THING in the car :-)
The Walker Brigade!
The people here at Arches Foot Care are SO sweet to these two...
treat them like beloved family!
THEN...... we headed for Shoney's.
First time we've been out for a meal in months and months!!!
Paula joined us...
This is my plate... or should I say plates?
I wanted the dinner but then I saw the hamburgers and decided to have all of it!!!
I won't need to eat for a week... nahhhhh!! :-)
Came home and worked on the chili...
that took up most of my afternoon...
No naps today...
Fed Dad and Lanny some Chicken Noodle Soup for supper...
Mom and I are NOT hungry after Shoney's lunch,
but I guess men need three meals a day :-)
The Chili is out of the canner...
all I will do when ready to use it will be to add a quart of my three bean mix
and we'll have 2 quarts of chili for a meal... I can double it if the crew is here :-)
Lanny picked up the pup piles before he left for church. I will put the chicken feed away and get into my jammies and probably dream about more things to can. I have some great canning books!! We don't eat a lot of jams and jellies but they would sure be nice gifts, so I might choose a couple of projects along that line...
Goodnight Y'all...
God bless us, Every One!!!
and God bless America!!
Sweet Dreams!
