Quiet Time...
“Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.”
Matthew 11:28-29 ESV

Broken record... Dad was up :-)
I love Quiet Time... the hour I spend sitting here with Lanny and Maggie and Murphy (occasionally Mitzi and Max) is just my favorite time of day... right beside sitting here with the same bunch in the evening watching a movie :-)
It was raining and Mitzi was having her anxiety tremors...
she was comforting herself in the pillows...
good thing this is sheet changing day...
she SHEDS horribly!!!
especially when she is nervous about the weather!
Max was in the bed too...
I did a couple loads of laundry... I washed our bedspread and the waterproof cover that I have to hide it with because MURPHY has issues...
I also washed the dog blankets...
Since I had Covid I have had a phantom smell in my nose...
at first it was herbal but now it is not so pleasant...
I never know if my house smells bad (everyone says it does NOT)...
I smell it here, outside, in the car, at the doctors office, wherever I am so it isn't real....
it also affects the way things taste...
Chocolate doesn't even taste good :-(
It was only supposed to last a few weeks or months but it's been 10 months!
UGH!
It was raining and I didn't take any pictures out in the yard...
Penny's egg...
Lanny and I decided to work on the Common Area
and outside pantry since it was so ugly outside...
He put up another panel...
I made the men some Biscuits and Gravy and Sausage for Breakfast...
Mom had Toast and Jelly...
It's starting to come together...
My Grain Mill, Rocket Stove and Oat Mill
are mounted on the big table...
covered with towels for the dust...
The Library is coming along as well...
Well, Sugar laid another deco egg...
For lunch we had Grilled Cheese Sandwiches...
Mom ate in her room with the usual audience...
And then Lanny and I snoozed to the rhythm of the rain...
this IS a barn and it has a huge tin roof!!
The rain let up a little so I did get to go out
and talk to my chicks and ducks a bit...
Opal...
Bucky...
Three turtles wanting to take a bath... that tub is temporary...
now that they are doing so well I want to get a better pool for them...
Used the left over White Beans, added some Ham,
Diced Tomatoes and Chicken Broth...
YUMMY! Oh, and Cornbread!
Mom ate in her room...
She is in Time Out :-)
Chores are done...
I am ready to sit down with my pack and watch a movie...
Goodnight Family and Friends...
Hope you enjoyed your Labor Day...
It rained all day here but we didn't have any special plans so no problem :-)
God bless and Sweet Dreams!
