Tuesday on the Farm... September 5

Quiet Time...

“I have stored up Your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against You.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭119:11‬ ‭ESV‬‬

*****
Dad was up... :-)

I settled down with my Study Buddies...
Have I told you that I LOVE mornings!

Lanny joined me around 4:30...

Finished up my study time around 5:40 and hit the floor...
made the bed, put some laundry in the washer
then started some bread...

We sure go thru the bread...
I give Rob and Paula a loaf when I make it...

Ready for first rise...

Headed out to talk to the chickens and ducks...
no rain this morning...

They were waiting impatiently...

I lost my Coconut last night. She had been coughing and wheezing for months and I had been treating her but she just never got better. She was eating and laying and doing all the henny stuff, but yesterday she was not acting well at all. And she was dead when I went to close them up for the night :-(
Now down to 6 chickens...
and 2 ducks...

Penny's egg...
Gabby actually looks like she may be molting,
which could be why she isn't laying...

From the kitchen window...

Lanny started a "little" fire in a small can
and it was just a tad bigger than he expected!

Joe Pye ...
Butterflies LOVE it!!

Bread is ready for second rise...

We called an ambulance for Mom this morning...
she has mini strokes often but this one seemed to last a LONG time...
Her speech was completely incoherent and she couldn't answer any questions...
but, by the time the ambulance got here she was back to normal.
They checked her out and confirmed that was probably the case.
The doctor said he could tell from her scans
that she had had multiple small ones over the years.
She is back to normal now...
I don't know how scientific my theory is,
but I feel that all the small ones are letting off steam
and perhaps she won't have a big one...

Bread is in the oven baking...

I ate the heels of one loaf :-) for my lunch (I LOVE the ends of my bread)
and warmed up soup from last night for Dad and Lanny.
Mom ate some peanut butter and crackers...
Then we sat down for a rest...

Mom had several boxes of brass NikNaks that we brought up from their house...
so Paula and I added them to the baskets that we displayed on the high shelf
in the big barn...the baskets also came up from their house...
now Mom and Dad can see more of their "stuff"... :-)

And Lanny is adding a partition beside our "porch" to hide the storage area in the barn... the Common Area is starting to look really nice!!

He is spoiling me :-)
But I spoil him right back...

For Supper we had Breaded Chicken Breasts, Green Beans and Red Taters, Macaroni and Cheese, Cranberry Sauce and Pudding for Dessert...

Mom is still eating mostly in her room...
Her back hurts less in this chair...

The rain let up for a minute (it was POURING!!!)...
I went out and put the chicken feed away
and then threw them some left over Mac and Cheese...
they LOVED it!!

Lanny scoured the yard for pup landmines
while Paula and I cleaned up the kitchen...

I am ready to put on my Jammies and call it a day!!!
Not sure what is on the Big Screen tonight...
I'll let you know tomorrow...

Goodnight Family and Friends...
Praise the Lord that Mom didn't have to go to the hospital.

God Bless and Sweet Dreams!
