Saturday on the Mountain... September 24

Quiet Time...

“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:13-14‬ ‭ESV‬‬

*****
I was up and down all night... Mom will NOT stay in the bed. She gets up to change clothes or brush her teeth or run out the neighbors that are talking and keeping her up... it would be funny if it wasn't funny... I am still hoping that it is because of the UTI but she has had major antibiotics and this seems to be continuous confusion and hallucinations... not just off and on... pray for her... pray for us.

*****
Dad was up and waiting for his goodies...

Maggie and Murphy were almost touching...
don't tell Maggie!
And Mitzi was keeping her Daddy's spot warm :-)
when he comes in she ends up staying a minute or two but then heads for the futon...

Making some Cinnamon Rolls in my new Bread Machine...
It's not big enough to make my bread but is perfect for the rolls...

Headed out to the back lot...

Penny egg...

Made Dad and Lanny and Egg, Sausage Link and Toast...
Light on the Calories :-)

Paula got a load of hay today...

Everyone helped unload...
except me... I am the photographer :-)
And I couldn't stay out long...
gotta watch my unruly Momma!!!

Mitzi doesn't get in a playful mood often...
first of all, she is nearly 12.
Also, she was abused as a pup and I don't think she ever learned to play.
We rescued her and have had her for 11 years
and she still suffers the trauma of that abuse in many ways...

Cinnamon Rolls ready to be iced...

Lanny is still hauling manure!

And the chickens LOVE it!!!

And the ducks!

He just couldn't wait to check on the sweet potatoes...
we need to wait til the vines start dying...

But look at this monster!!!
Maybe we ought to go ahead and dig them!!

Sugar Egg...

They need to sit and "cure" for a while...
I will find them a nice comfy spot...

We had Cheddar Cheese, Tuna Salad, Vienna Sausages, Saltines....
light lunch, mix and match...

And begging dogs!

Nap time... this time Maggie is on my right and Murphy is on my left...
I was a bit chilly in the middle...

Sugar egg...

My Meatloaf isn't usually very pretty,
but it's always good! :-)

Meat Loaf, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy,
Green Beans and Potatoes with some Carrots thrown in,
Fried Corn Bread and Pudding...

So, another day nearly over...
chores are done (for the most part)...

I am anxious to get into my evening attire and watch a movie with my honey...
A few more interruptions can be expected these days,
but it is still a very nice time of the day...

Continue to pray for Mom and for me...

Goodnight Family and Friends...
God bless and Sweet Dreams!
