Quiet Time...
“Many are the plans in the mind of a man,
but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.”
Proverbs 19:21 ESV
*****
Daddy was up...
We had our Quiet Time with only a couple interruptions :-)
Look how well (how pretty) my laundry detergent gelled.
I LOVE making stuff like this.
Usually lasts 4 to 5 months and works better (in my opinion) than the expensive store bought!
Here is the link to the recipe if you are interested in trying it:
Headed out back!
Turtles are out and about...
we made them a bigger, deeper dirt pile for hibernating...
I still may let a couple of them go...
Lanny is watching his waistline :-)
so I made Daddy an Egg, Toast and Sausage...
Jeweled Visitor...
Dad and Lanny went to the dump and to take some stuff to KARM...
Paula and I tossed a coin to see who would play with his scooter while he was gone :-)
Paula won!
My babies waiting patiently for me to come in...
Sugar...
Turkey Sandwiches for lunch and then nap time...
I LOVE nap time!
Max decided his Daddy's lap looked more comfortable than his tree...
Goldie...
Luke is enjoying his "almost" in the house nap spots...
He kinda likes the Common Room Library...
All my life I watched my Daddy paint, build model ships and planes... he made jewelry and pottery... crossword puzzles... loved working with his hands. Now his hands are almost totally numb with neuropathy so he has a very hard time holding table ware and even more trouble holding pens or colored pencils. I bought him some foam slips to give him a grip and he is trying to color again... he said yesterday that he couldn't stay in the lines and I told him it was beautiful... ragged new art!! :-)
Planted the Egyptian Onions my friend Wendy brought me.
I already had a few growing from the ones she gave me last year but needed a few more.
The sweet potatoes are just about ready to dig.
Lanny felt down yesterday and hit a huge potato so I am so excited to see what they did!!
Then I spread some of the mushroom compost on the mounds we will plant next spring.
We will add horse manure, chicken manure, wood chips and other compost all thru the winter and maybe next year we will have a few things in the garden!
For Supper we had Chicken Strips, Fries, Peas and Carrots,
Biscuit and Pudding for Dessert...
Mom's hummer friend...
seen from her bedroom window...
I am ready to settle on the couch with my pack and watch the second Spiderman...
Keep Mom in your prayers. We are sure she has another UTI and I took a sample to the doc this morning. They are culturing and will let us know the results. I'm sure that once she gets some antibiotics she will feel better.
Still sore from the fall but the confusion and weakness will be better...
Goodnight Sweet Family and Friends...
God bless America
and Sweet Dreams!
