Monday on the Mountain... October 24

Quiet Time...

“For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed,
but My steadfast love shall not depart from you,
and My covenant of peace shall not be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭54‬:‭10‬ ‭ESV‬‬

*****
Sunset last night...
SO beautiful!!

*****
Daddy was up...
Two Sausage Biscuits for his first breakfast...
he says he "loves" those little burgers :-)

Murphy and Maggie...
Couch buddies...

Lanny got up around 5 - he slept in a bit...
and I finished up my Quiet Time around 5:30...

Had to hustle a bit this morning...
my Wellness Exam is at 8:30 so I have to leave the house by 8...
fed Dad and Lanny some Pancakes and Ham...
a little early, but they didn't mind :-)

Then ran out back to release my feathered prisoners...

Heading down the driveway at 8AM...

I'm good for another year...
they don't even bother doing lab work on me because I am healthy as a horse...
those are her exact words! :-)

Got home around 9:30...
I think the Wellness Exam is silly...
Draw a clock and answer 8 pages of questions...
At least my doctor does listen to my heart...

Fed the gang some deli turkey on croissants for lunch...
I like those little croissants. They are kinda sweet and very tasty with deli meat...
Lanny and I DID sit down for a short rest today after lunch.
We hadn't been doing that for the last week or so.

Took some grub worms out of the freezer to treat the chickens and ducks.
The Soldier Flies are NOT working this time of year.
Too cold!

Paula went out with me to enjoy the show...

Lanny coming out from the back
after dumping another load of black gold (horse manure) :-)

Bucky was escorting him out!

We bought more electric fencing and are starting it a little ways down the drive so we can put our rabbit hutches under the oaks. It will make our "free range" area a bit larger for the chickens and ducks AND for the goats we will be getting next spring.

Mom is mostly eating in her room...
she is just more comfortable in there.

I made Fish Sticks, Macaroni and Tomatoes, Spinach and left over Cole Slaw...
Brownies for Dessert...
YUM!

Lanny picked up the pup piles.
I put the chicken feed away...
Wednesday we are going down to the zoo
to pick up some new hens!!!
I am SO excited!!!

Tonight we are going to watch Blade Runner.
An old Harrison Ford.
We also have the new one and we will watch it tomorrow night...

Goodnight Y'all...
God bless America...
God bless you ALL...
and
Sweet Dreams...

Repose is as needful to the mind as sleep to the body…
Rest time is not waste time. It is economy to gather fresh strength.”
