Friday on Walden's Mountain... January 20

Quiet Time...

"Submit yourselves therefore to God.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
James 4:7 KJV
*****

Funny thing.... Mom buzzed me about 30 minutes after I went to bed...
she had forgotten that she had already gone "potty"...
I was not yet asleep so it worked out ok... :-)
The she slept til about 3:15...
I did lay back down but just to lay there until 3:45...
Dad was up...

I made him a couple Sausage Biscuits and headed for the couch...

Had the Three M's (Maggie, Murphy and Mitzi :-))

This tray is going into black out today...
this is day 4 of weights...
looks good (and it is in soil)

This is day 2 of germination under weight...
also soil...

I always pull the comforter up over my pillow so the dogs will NOT lay on it...
especially THIS dog because she is a professional shedder!
So, of course, she decided she would snuggle down
under the cover right up by my pillow :-(
I will be itching tonight!!!
But, I LOVE HER!!! :-)

Moved them both and made the bed...

Max went straight for his Daddy...

Feeding time...
Three in a row...

And Maggie in her private corner :-)

Mom's morning goodies:
Banana, Prunes, Grapes and Boost Plus!
Yes, it is a sippy cup!
They work great for Toddlers AND seniors :-)
...no more spills!!!

Flock and Fluffle Time!

Gabby is rooting almost like her old self!!!
She is even quacking...
she hadn't for several days and he quack is why she is named Gabby...
it's LOUD!!!

Took the Yuk Chuk out to the garden
so my compost crew could do their thing...

Roo is behaving himself...
I threatened him with the "Chicken Dinner" comment :-)

Lanny is working hard on the wood stove.
It is SO exciting.

Can't wait to boil some water :-)

There are a few rusted out areas
that he is having to hand make parts for...
but HE can do it!!!

Dark picture, but I got another blue egg from Opal...
I am SO thrilled. I thought she might never lay again
because she is so bullied by the other girls.
She is blind in one eye and has always been so skittish...
but this makes TWO this week!!!

Four eggs so far today...

Now you can see the color better...
I have no idea which one is laying the huge white egg!!

So good to have the blue eggs in my "display" again!!

Cleaned the rabbit hutches...

Lanny piecing in a part he hand made...

4 Trays of Freeze Dried Bone Broth
ready to crumble up and package...
YUM!!!

Then all I have to do is add a teaspoon per cup of water...
Great to sip when you don't feel well and to put in soups and other recipes...
I LOVE having broth and even tho I have canned it in the past
the nutrients are much better in freeze dried.
Studies seem to show that up to 90-95% of the vitamins, minerals
and nutrients are retained when freeze dried...
canning takes that down to about 60%...
still not bad, but if I can choose....

For Supper: Fish Sticks, Steamed Broccoli,
Macaroni and Tomatoes and Microgreen Salad...

And when I went out to put the feed away...
Six eggs today...
I sure hope this is going to continue!!

Evening chores are done...
Puppy Piles are removed :-)
Chicken feed is locked safely away for rodent eyes and noses...
kitchen is clean and so are we...

Last night we watched Finding Nemo...
Not sure what Lanny has planned for tonight...
I will let you know tomorrow...

Goodnight Family and Friends!
God bless and Sweet Dreams!

“What a wonderful thought it is
that some of the best days of our lives
haven’t even happened yet.”
- Anne Frank
