Tuesday on Walden's Mountain... January 31

Quiet Time...

"But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them,
With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible."
Matthew 19:26 KJV
*****

Mom slept thru the night :-)
Dad was up and I had just taken him his coffee when Mom buzzed.
So I got both of them taken care of (Dad got a couple Sausage Biscuits)
and then I settled down on the couch with my Pack...

*****
Trays planted one day apart...
I will harvest some of the left tray today...

Out of Black Out and into the Light!!

This one gets one more day of weights and then into BlackOut...

Cutting up some Rainbow Cherry Tomatoes for the Freeze Dryer.
These are from Aldi's but I am hoping to grow LOTS of them myself so I am experimenting with freeze drying them...

And English Cucumbers...
I am going to try single layer...

...and just slight overlap
to see which does better, or if there is no difference...

Bread Day...
Since I give Paula and Rob a loaf and we eat a lot here
I have to make it at least twice a week, usually three times...

It's 4 pounds of dough and I don't think I could do it all by hand
but I LOVE to knead a bit at the end!

Into the warm oven for first rise...
I use the oven light for heat and it is just enough to proof...

Out to the Flock and Fluffle around 7:45

Penny egg under the nest boxes...

And a mystery night egg from who knows who??

It's Tuesday so Lanny and I fast until supper...
Made Dad a couple Waffles and Sausage...
It is good for Diabetics to fast one day a week
and I just do it for support... but it's also a good detox...

Bread is ready to shape...

Back into the warm oven to rise again...

Lanny built a template so he can make the other supports for the awning...

Look at that big boy!!

This bowl is todays cutting from the lettuce I've been growing
in the dining room under lights...

I took the bunnies some of the lettuce and the chickens wanted some, of course!!
I gave them some, but obviously NOT enough for them!!
They chased me back to the gate...

A nice bag full of really fresh lettuce :-)

Ready to bake...

Put four trays of frozen chopped spinach into the freeze dryer...
the tomatoes and cucumbers I cut up this morning are in the regular freezer
to go into the dryer when the spinach is done tomorrow...

Bread is done!!

I planted three starter trays of lettuce...
I will transplant into the large pots when they grow up a bit...

Awwww....

Double Awwwww...
this little guy looks like a fruit bat!

Made Mom and Daddy a Deli Chicken Sandwich
and Chips for lunch...

They saw me in the kitchen window!!!

I opened a can of peas for them
Yea, they love peas!

These three are hoping she gets the shakes and drops something :-)
Usually, she just tosses it to them!

They don't take their eyes off the food...

Here is a 2 ounce and 3 ounce bag of Microgreens.
I am going to sell the 2 ounce for $4 and the 3 ounce for $6...
That is VERY competitive if you look it up...
even a pack of fresh herbs is at least $2 for 1/2 ounce!!

He has built four so far...
goes fast when you have a template!

Corn Scratch and Sunflower seed...

Getting ready to put up the awning...
This will also be a thrill to the dogs
because they will be able to go out into the "yard" to potty
when it is raining and not get wet!

Took out some left over spaghetti...
Yea, they love that too!!!

Five eggs in a pile...
...that makes 7 today!!!
They are picking up production!!

Aren't they gorgeous!!!

Mexican for Dinner...
Made my MimiLada's (layered tortillas, beans, tortillas, meat...)
like a layered burrito.
Here is the link in case you forgot the recipe:

Chores are done...
Kitchen is clean...
I am in my jammies and Lanny is in the shower.
We are going to watch "E.T." tonight...
Lanny found the DVD at Walmart the other day
and we haven't seen it in more years than I can count...
possibly since it first came out!!!

Goodnight Family and Friends...
God bless us, Every One...
Sweet Dreams...
