Mom buzzed a couple times in the night and then this morning as I sat reading I noticed she was sitting up looking around for several minutes (you know I monitor the cameras in their rooms) so I went in to see what she needed and she was looking for snakes... I always tease her a bit and we laugh about it but I am sure that at the moment it's not funny to her. She is often confused and occasionally afraid and I know that the little bit of annoyance that I experience is nothing compared...

Day two since planting...
LOTS of germination!!
My first inclination is to just roll these King Sized Sheets (the fitted one in particular) into a ball and stick them in the drawer...
BUT, if I go ahead and fold it I feel like a success for the rest of the day :-)

I snuck out so that Opal could have some berries...
the other hens don't usually give her the chance...

they are all gone!
Made the Men an Omelet with Bell Peppers, Onions, Bacon and Cheese...
and Toast...
Lanny was out digging a ditch and knew he would get in big trouble if he tracked in that mud... these are the handiest "slippers"... they are big and you just slip your big old feet in there and scoot around with no mess :-)
Any time I open the back door or go thru the gate,
here they come!!!
Hutch Cleaning Day...
I try to do it every other day...

Planted another tray today...
I have a couple orders for the Greens now so I have to get busy!!

Two chicken eggs plus the one duck egg so far today...
This is some freeze dried chicken I just opened up...
very dry, and it will just crumble up if you press on it...
But add a little water and wait about 5 minutes
and it is soft and fibrous and YUMMY like it just came off the bone...
Dad and Lanny ran down to Home Depot to pick up some lumber...
Lanny is building an awning to go all around the back porch
where we are putting the wood cook stove...
Made Spaghetti for Supper...
Yea, that is my plate...

Chores are done...
Ready to call this day complete...
