Quiet Time...
Remember the Fallen...
"Greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his life for his friends."

Rise and Shine
SleepyHead!
Dad waited til I got snuggled down on the couch
with my pack ...
then he got up at 4:35...
but I was ready for him :-)
Made him a couple Sausage Biscuits...
Went back to my former position
And the pack was waiting for me...
She is still such a cutie!!
She is our old lady...
she is 13...
They don't move when I get up...
5:45
Microgreen Time...
Hard to see,
but the eggs are long into the freeze dry process
and are pulled away from the edges of the trays
by about 1/2 inch... the water is being vacuumed out! :-)
Time for my Barnyard chores!
Had some leftover popcorn from last night...
they like it!
Someone wanted to see the Box Turtle Enclosure...
this is it...
It's about 10x12 feet...
And one of the resident females...
We have two females and one male...
Sparkley Time...
The other hens were way out back with Lanny
so Opal got the berries all to herself...
Poor little girl...
she is so skittish and cautious
even tho no other hens were around...
they are all bullies to Opal and Susie...
they are my two handicapped hens...
Made the men Fried Duck Eggs,
Sausage Patty and Toast...
Mowing...
again... :-)
and again... :-)
Starting to get a little color in the yard...
He is making a gate
so we can get under the Goat Fort...
we have to get under there for the duck eggs.
We were crawling 6 feet to get them from the long end
so he decided to gate it on the short end
so we only have to crawl about 2 feet :-)
Ducks are crazy... they lay all over the place!
Bread Day...
I have a couple BIG orders for Wednesday!!
This is Herb Bread...
And White Bread...
Black Forest Deli Ham Sandwiches
and Chips for lunch...
From my kitchen window!!!
Bread's done...
at least for today...
lots more to bake tomorrow...
Ready to Harvest...
The goats are interested in the trays but not to eat :-)
The chickens, however, LOVE it...
So I gave the Goats a little pile of Timothy Hay...
Now THAT will do it!
For Supper we had Chicken Breasts,
Mixed Italian Veggies and a new dish:
Southwestern Riced Cauliflower.
It was a bit hot but VERY good,
especially mixed with the veggies.
All the veggies were Freeze Dried...
Have I mentioned lately how much I LOVE my freeze dryer!!!
After supper and clean up
Lanny and I ran down the hill
to cut the Goats some browse stuff:
Kudzu, Willow and Pine Branches,
Blackberry Vines, Wild Rose...
they LOVE it all!!!
My ducks were in a row
until I snapped the camera :-)
Only 6 eggs today...
has me worried,
even tho I have found no crushed shells
(snakes swallow the egg whole,
crush the shell and then expel it)...
We looked all over the yard
in case they were laying out there...
Day is done, for us...
Last night we watched iRobot...
tonight it will be
I Am Legend
(another Will Smith)
Goodnight Family and Friends...
God bless
and
Sweet Dreams!
