Quiet Time...
Train up a child in the way he should go:
And when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6 KJV
*****
Wake up Sleepy Head...
I slept in a little this morning...
My tooth didn't really give me any pain
but I think I had a slight reaction to the antibiotic...
I was itching ALL OVER
and had to get up and take a Benadryl...
needless to say,
I didn't sleep well...
Dad slept in til 5:30...
I was all set and ready..
Quiet, Uninterrupted Study Time
with my Pack!
I am in the Small Prophets right now...
Max joined us today...
Not a lot of changes in the Greens room...
I do need to start a new tray today...
Lettuce...
Ready to head out to the Barnyard...
Had a little left over popcorn
for the chickies...
I lost a chicken in the night...
Goldie was dead in the nest box this morning ...
It is practically impossible to know exactly what happened
but it looks like she may have had an egg break inside of her...
I won't give details but I am sure you can envision it...
I rarely lose a chicken and it really hurts my heart when I do...
A few Soldier Fly grubs...
Not a lot of rain expected today
so perhaps the goats can get a bit of that
"rowdy" out of their system!
Lanny is having to fence his workshop area
because Willie has discovered another way to be "rowdy"!
Angel begging for some breakfast :-)
It takes a while
but once the Elephant Ear starts
it grows pretty fast...
Got out to the stalls just in time to see Paula
letting Dandy and Takoda out for the day...
Paula is a very good Mommy...
Willie is confused...
he doesn't understand
why he cannot do
whatever he wants to...
whenever he wants to...
typical teen ager!
Made some Ham Sandwiches and Chips for lunch...
Lanny skipped breakfast
and I had made Dad some Cinnamon Toast...
they were ready for lunch...
The Tree Swallow babies...
Momma and Daddy were out of the nest
o they were dive bombing me as I took the picture...
Oh, they don't touch you, they just click and swoop around...
I keep telling them that I am definitely
not going to hurt them or their babies :-)
I peek quickly so I cannot tell how many babies there are,
but it looks like a good pile :-)
Rhoda loves to eat with the goats...
I gave them the empty seed bag to play with :-)
Willie is definitely a lap goat...
problem is, he is getting way too big for my lap!
It was ruminating time...
relax and ''chew the cud" :-)
And clean the feet time for Baby :-)
Mowing between rain showers...
sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do :-)
There is often a tree frog on the umbrella pole...
I LOVE frogs!!!
Not sure what to call this:
a dry Chicken Noodle Soup mix from Aldi's
with home canned Chicken Thighs, freeze dried Mixed Veggies, freeze dried Bell Peppers and a can of Diced Tomatoes...
it was DELISH!!
served with Garlic Toast,,,
I have put the Goats to bed with fresh hay and water
and some food they can eat all by themselves
without chickens horning in :-)
We are ready to call this day "over"...
tonight we will watch the next Harry Potter...
"Order of the Phoenix"...
Here is the day's short and sweet video
Goodnight Sweet Friends and Family...
God bless you one and all...
and
Sweetest Dreams!!!
