Saturday on Walden's Mountain... October 28

Quiet Time...

"But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you,
and keep you from evil"
2 Thessalonians 3:3 KJV
*****
Hello Saturday...

Dad was up...
he has his meds, his coffee, his first breakfast
and a handful of kibble for Casey...
I would rather Casey ate his dog kibble
than any of the people food Dad has...

Only had these two for the first part of my study time :-)

But then Lanny and Max joined us...

...and finally Murphy...
He didn't like any of the spots ON the couch
so he goes to the top of the seat!

Time for Microgreens...

... planted yesterday...
tiny sprouts of "germination" starting...

Pups still snoozing...

... at least until I get out the dog food bowls :-)
Then, I get BUSY!!

*****

Making my Chili, Taco and Spaghetti Sauce Mixes...

Always makes a pretty big mess
(but smells SO good)
and now I have my sauce mixes...
except for a full container of Spaghetti Sauce Mix...
I ran out of Parsley Flakes...
I will top it off when I get some more Parsley this week...

Went out thru the Big Barn
to get the Eastern Sky
First Light...

This is what the Big Barn Common Area looks like
at night and early morning...

And our "Back Porch"...
this is where everyone comes in to our house
but it is the back door :-)

Slowly rising...
still the Eastern Sky...

Time to head out to the Barnyard...

Willow has filled out well with her new feathers...
She really is a pretty lady...

Eastern Sky...

Made the Men an Omelet, Toast and Orange Slices...

Prepping some Banana Slices to freeze dry...
they will be great to pop into a bowl of cereal...

Lanny was burning a bit of trash with help from Baby and Fiona...
they have a new pile of branches to snack on
so that keeps them out from under his feet!!

My selfie installment to Wendy today...
her intestines have still not awakened...
they are taking out the epidural and will start her on pain meds
which will slow down the intestines even more...
pray that her gut wakes up!
They are really hoping she won't need a bag...

Our refrigerator light was flickering
so I had to get my repair man to order the bulb and replace it...
He can fix most anything!!!

Sparkley Day...

Berries to the Kids today...

And any brave hens
that wanted to stick their heads in that bowl...

Making some Half and Half Whole Wheat Bread...
half white flour, half freshly ground whole wheat...

After I fed the men some Ramen and Crackers for lunch,
we sat down for a snooze...
These wo were thrilled...

Yes, you see what I did here, right!!!
This loaf was for US so I can eat the ends if I want to :-)

These ladies love to sit in the lawn chair and ruminate...
they also move them around all over the yard...
they don't like my decorating :-)

I feel so sorry for Maggie...
she just cannot relax :-)

I also made two loaves of Cinnamon Raisin Bread...

For Supper we had Black Eyed Peas...
I have been craving some for a while...
Also Pork and Gravy and Mashed Potatoes...
And Toasted Garlic Wheat Bread
(told you it was for us :-))

Chores are done...
All the critters in the barnyard
are ready for the evening...

Tonight we will start the
X-Men Series...
there are 9 of them
so it will take us at least a week and a half :-)

*****

I told you Wendy's update earlier
so just keep her in your prayers...

Continue to pray for Paula as well...
we have no news because she won't have her
brain scan til the 6th and see the surgeon on the 9th...
I will keep you posted.

*****

Goodnight All...
God Bless
and
Sweet Dreams!
