Saturday on Walden's Mountain... May 25

Quiet Time...

πŸŒΊπŸƒ

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭2‬

Last night...
a new frog buddy :-)

We go out right before we head to bed
to let the doggies
empty their little bladders :-)
And it is always so nice
(if not raining)
to sit by the pond for a minute
while they roam around the yard...

This is when we see cool things:
birds, frogs, lizards...

It's a Leopard Frog,
but it is smaller than the one
I usually see on the pond...
I LOVE frogs!

And the fish were sucking on our fingers...
Awwwwww...

*****
Good Morning Saturday...
it's POURING the rain!

The rain and the frogs sounded SO good
with the door open this morning...
Bible Study/Pack Time
was SO nice!

Day three of germination...
I probably could have put this tray in Black Out,
but I will wait 'til tomorrow...

This one is in the light...

Sunny Radio,
pretty on a very rainy morning...

The rain let up a little
so we hurried out to take care of the critters...

Maggie is ready!

Baby and Fiona knew it wasn't over tho,

...so they were not really excited
about coming out...

They nibbled on some hay and grain
and then relaxed on their ledges...

The chickens huddled up under the platform...

Lanny took the opportunity to blow the dust and leaves
out of the Big Barn... they blow in those big bay doors...

Then he cleaned all the tables and chairs...
He is a keeper!!!

Murphy didn't feel well this morning...
didn't eat his breakfast...

But by around 9 he did eat some cooked chicken
and was perked up quite a bit...

Now he is sorting tools
out in the pole barn...
Rainy day jobs!

We headed down to Oak Ridge to pick up
a water filter for the fridge at Home Depot...

We also had to run in to the Food City
for some items for tomorrows Family Dinner...

Then we grabbed some straw from Corkie,
the friend that gave us the fish.
She had a bale of straw she didn't want
and we had to wait til we could take the truck down...
The girls thought it was a play thing
JUST for them...

But I spread it out all over the barnyard
to soak up some of that mud
after this mornings downpour!!

It helped a LOT!

Making Pintos for supper!!!!

Pintos, Stewed Potatoes, Spinach, Cornbread
and Fried Apples (not yet on my plate)...
YUMMMMMM!

Lanny cannot stand for the grass to get too high...
It always looks SO nice in the backyard
(not the barnyard... different story :-))

So, chores are done...
chicken feed is safe,
goats are in their house,
pup piles are disposed of,
kitchen is clean,
I am ready to head back to do my
evening ablutions...

Jammies and a movie are on the horizon...
the third
"Pirates of the Caribbean...
At Worlds End..."

Goodnight Family and Friends...
God Bless
and
Sweet Dreams!
