Hello Soggy Friday...

getting lots of rain, but so far not real hard

and not a lot of wind...

we shall see as the day goes on...

Waiting for the prime seat...

Which he nearly ALWAYS gets these days...

But Maggie is good about
"forgive and forget" :-)

Going into Black Out today...

And I will harvest this one
for Rob and Molly later this morning...

Second Breakfast nibbles
for the pups...

Made Lanny some Egg Muffins
for his Masterpiece Breakfasts...

Sparkly Day...

The rain let up a bit
so we hurried out...

The chickens are getting so used to rain....
...most of them have no problem with it
unless it is pouring...

And the ducks LOVE it!!

Fiona refuses to come out if it is even
wet... and especially if it is soggy!!!

If it does start raining hard
they have plenty of shelter without going into their coop...

The spools and Goat Platform
offer protection...

Looking for soggy pup piles again...
sometimes it just rains them away into the soil...

Fish like rain...

Rain always makes us wanna sort...

he is out in his shop

and I am going thru drawers and closets...

I also want to get everything in order before I have surgery...
it is supposed to cause little trouble with my daily routines
except for lifting... but just in case,
I want things as clean and organized as I can get them...

Dreary sky over the Homestead...

But you can see the leaves starting to change...

Harvesting the Microgreens...

For lunch I tried "Cheese on Toast"...
we have been watching a British show
on Paramount + called
"In the Factory"... it has been SO interesting...
last night they were making cheese
and this happens to be one of the favorite
things to eat over there...
it really is quite good!!

Lanny also had a piece
but warmed up the left over
Shrimp Scampi as well...

Then we snoozed...
Janie sent me a video
about how GOOD naps are for you...
Lot of healthy benefits for
those who are regular nappers...
that is US!!!

Still quite soggy,
but the chickens don't seem to mind...

Maggie got tired of me walking over her
so she moved to the chair...
I was printing, cutting,
gluing...
she is smart...

Casey has a spot UNDER the craft table,
so he is smart too :-)

I've been playing with my sewing machine off and on all day...
I think I am learning some things...
it is SLOW going as we get older :-)

For Supper I took my vacuum sealed steaks
from the last time we did some steaks
and popped them in the sealed bag into boiling water...
it warms them up without further cooking
and usually it tastes like they just came off the grill!!!
Added some little baked potatoes and mixed veggies...
Yum!

A few of you have asked about my upcoming surgery...

Here is the technical medical explanations...

MRI Diagnosis says both Spondylolysis with Radiculopathy and Spondylolistheses.

Spondylolysis is a crack or stress fracture that develops through the small, thin portion of the vertebra that connects the upper and lower facet joints.

Spondylolisthesis is when one spinal vertebra slips out of place compared to another. it is often defined in medical textbooks as displacement...

Radiculopathy is Spinal Stenosis: narrowing of the spinal column that causes pressure on the spinal cord, or narrowing of the openings (called neural foramina) where spinal nerves leave the spinal column. The MRI showed my openings are totally closed...

Dr. Madigan believes that all will be corrected with this surgery,

and I am trusting that it will be...

*****

So, all the chores are done...

the Barnyard is buttoned up

and we are ready to call it a day...

Tonight we will watch

"Wyatt Earp"

Kevin Costner...

*****

Good Night!!

God Bless

and

Sweetest Dreams!!!
