Wednesday on the Mountain... November 12

 Quiet Time in Bible Study...

🍁

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.”

Hebrews 11:1, 3 ESV

“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”

Hebrews 11:6 ESV

“So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”

1 Thessalonians 5:6-11 ESV

“Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”

Romans 8:26 ESV

“Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.”

Colossians 4:5-6 ESV

“But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,”

Titus 3:4-6 ESV

It's Wednesday!

Paula said she feels like

going out today so we will do

an abbreviated

"Sister Shopping Day"...

until she wears out :-)

Third Quarter Moon...
Lovely, clear sky
and a bit chilly :-)

This morning when I opened the bay doors
I could hear a pack of Coyote's in the distance...
Reminds me how thankful I am
to live up here in the Woods...
I have loved animals since my memories began...
I studied Wildlife Management in College...
I thought I would like to be a Forest Ranger...
that didn't pan out,
but God has always given me
lots of critters to enjoy...
Listening to the coyotes
and the animals at Ponderosa Zoo
(yes, we can hear them up on this hill)
is a joy for me...
Thank you Lord
for this sweet gift!

Heading for the Gym...
I have a list of exercises
to do for spinal fractures
and just to strengthen the
extensor muscles around the spine...
I will do my walking
and only the moves
that won't aggravate
my spine...
Getting older
is NOT for wimps :-)

Dandy was neighing
for a cookie...
I haven't been tending him
now that Paula is
back on duty...
but I DO give him treats :-)

Just at a half avocado
for breakfast...
we have a gift card for Applebees
so Lanny is going to meet us
there for lunch!

Paula and I headed out at 9:30...
we ran by Aldi's, and then to
Krogers... she had some coupons...

I checked on the critters...
Hens in the Goat House...

Goats sunning in the Playground...

Murph was on our bed...

Maggie was in the front room...

Lanny met us at Applebees for lunch...

Our favorite is
Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp
with Potatoes, Onions and Mushrooms!
YUM!

We ran in to Food City after lunch
so we could get some cold stuff...
mostly Ice Cream :-)

We put the Goats in and
secured the rest of the Barnyard...
Lanny picked up the Evening Pup Piles
and we headed for the showers...

Tonight we will watch the newest
"Blade Runner"...
Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling...
